Chitosan (CS) is an abundant and renewable polysaccharide that reported to exhibit a great variety of beneficial properties. However, the poor solubility chitosan in water limits its applications. In this paper, we successfully synthesized single N-quaternized (QCS) double N-diquaternized (DQCS) derivatives, resulting quaternized materials were water-soluble. The degree quaternization (DQ) QCS DQCS was 0.8 1.3, respectively. These derivatives characterized by FTIR, ¹H NMR, 13C TGA, SEM....

Abstract Interface phenomena refer to the caused by various physical and chemical processes occurring at phase interfaces. These can include adhesion, friction, lubrication, evaporation, condensation, adsorption, monolayer formation, other are applied in many fields, such as food, papermaking, rubber, material science, energy, biomedicine. However, traditional detection equipment cannot meet interface observation needs because information detected techniques electrochemistry, spectroscopy,...

Abstract Previous studies have found that fine particulate matter (PM 2.5 ) air pollution is associated with decreased lung function. However, most current research focuses on children asthma, leading to small sample sizes and limited generalization of results. The study aimed measure the short-term lag effects PM among school-aged using repeated measurements function. This prospective panel included 848 schoolchildren in Zhejiang Province, China. Each year from 2014–2017, two function tests...

Vegetation phenology changes caused by urbanization could lead to shifts in ecosystem services urban areas and impact on human health. The characteristics of affect vegetation need be emphasized, especially China with a complex natural environment rapid background. In this study, we used remote sensing-based phenological data (MODIS MCD12Q2) analyze the spatial heterogeneity between non-urban 320 cities across China. We found significant difference its corresponding area at national regional...

Urban ecological space (UES) is crucial to the sustainable development of cities and improvement human well-being. Rapid urbanization tends lead fragmentation urban functional decline. China's coastal are developed regions with high levels unique geographical location makes them have two kinds spaces, namely marine spaces (MES) terrestrial (TES). During rapid urbanization, spatiotemporal changes availability (UESA) its driving factors in still unclear. For this, this work selected 53 China...

Rapid urbanization has had an important impact on the pattern and function of rural land use. To better understand key drivers landscape evolution in southern Henan China from 1980 to 2020, we used techniques GIS(Geographic Information System) technology geodetector model research area characteristics. The results show that use transformation areas been characterized by conversion production living ecological land, with highest rate continuous growth construction a decreasing trend cropland,...

Two kinds of BFRs in three WEEE plastics(cell phone shells, computer housings and TV housings) PCBs were detected with GC/MS. The results showed the plastics used as mobile shells had no BFRs. TBBPA was only found housings. Among PBDEs, congeners heptabromodiphenyl ether, octabromodiphenyl ether nonabromodiphenyl frequent ones, both But contents N9BDE lower than other two, 180 mg/kg 5.3 respectively, while pentabromodiphenyl hexabromodiphenyl determined PCBs.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) pose potential health risks to lipid metabolism, but the effects of emerging PFAS alternatives, particularly in children, remain unclear. This cross-sectional study investigated association between exposure levels 294 Chinese children aged 7-10 years, analyzing blood samples for 14 profiles, including triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low-density (LDL), apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1), B (ApoB). The massive loss of nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) from farmland ditches contributes to non-point source pollution, posing a significant global environmental challenge. Effectively removing these nutrients remains difficult in intensive agricultural systems. To address this, novel composite ecological ditch system (CEDS) was developed by modifying traditional drainage integrate grit chamber, zeolite, floating beds. Dynamic monitoring N P levels water, plants, zeolite conducted evaluate the...

The effects of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) on genomic stability remain unclear. Here, a cross-sectional study was conducted to establish the associations PFAS with genotoxic biomarkers. We recruited cohort 453 residents in 2021 Zhejiang, China. Thirty serum were quantified, alongside seven indicators [five rDNA copy numbers (rDNA-CN), mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA-CN), relative telomere length (RTL)] whole blood. Results showed that PFUnDA, perfluorohexanesulfonic acid...
