Prurigo nodularis (PN) is a chronic pruritic condition that reduces quality of life. PN may exist in 50% cases as an overlap syndrome with atopic dermatitis (AD), although its etiology has not been clearly established.1 Because paucity data and randomized controlled trials, treatment challenging. Consequently, patients often endure multiple unsuccessful therapeutic trials. We report on 2 who did respond to variety treatments subsequently achieved clearance lesions dupilumab.
We identified a novel XPC variant, c.2420+5G>A (XPCvar), in siblings with multiple melanomas, inherited alongside c.779+1G>T, which results an absent or disrupted protein. Despite this, they exhibited nucleotide excision repair (NER) deficits comparable to their unaffected parents, suggesting NER-independent tumor suppressor function for XPC. knockdown increased cell proliferation and tumorigenicity vitro without affecting NER. Single-cell RNA sequencing revealed lower Cdkn2a...
Immune checkpoint inhibitors targeting the programmed cell death (PD)-1 receptor have dramatically changed landscape of metastatic melanoma treatment. Nevertheless, these immuno-modulatory agents associated side effects, including dermatologic manifestations. To this end, we report a patient with that was treated PD-1 inhibitor, and subsequently developed inflammation existing seborrheic keratosis lesions new verrucous keratoses, cutaneous effect has not been previously reported to our...
Abstract Objective We sought to evaluate the safety and efficacy of an electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) device in improvement strength toning upper extremities. This device, which is FDA‐cleared as a two‐channel stimulator, provides up eight electrodes with waveforms inducing stimulation. Although prior study demonstrated it safe effective for use abdomen, this system, has specifically designed extremities, not previously been evaluated Methods Forty‐five subjects enrolled assess arm...
A previously healthy woman in her 40s presented to the dermatology clinic with a 1-year history of tender, draining, enlarging mass on left buttock. Physical examination revealed an extensively indurated hyperpigmented nodule numerous overlying clustered exophytic verrucous papules L medial buttock (see figure 1). Initial skin biopsy lesions was notable for lymphangioma condyloma, D2-40 positive. MRI abdomen and pelvis contrast demonstrated gluteal enhancing subcutaneous soft tissue mass,...
