To determine the spatial overlap agreement between four-dimensional computed tomography (4D CT) ventilation and single photon emission (SPECT) perfusion hypo-functioning pulmonary defect regions in a patient population with malignant airway stenosis. Treatment planning 4D CT images were obtained retrospectively for ten lung cancer patients radiographically demonstrated obstruction due to gross tumor volume. Each also received SPECT study within one week of CT, prior initiation treatment....

Executive function (EF) deficits are a recognised component of the cognitive phenotype youth with Down Syndrome (DS). Recent research in this area emphasises use behaviour ratings, such as Behavior Rating Inventory Functions-Preschool Version (BRIEF-P), to capture real-world applications executive functions. To account for intellectual functioning DS, measure is used out age range; however, its psychometric properties when fashion unknown. The goals study evaluate characteristics BRIEF-P...

Infection from the dengue virus can manifest with a variety of clinical presentations. Cardiac involvement fever is rarely reported phenomenon significant morbidity and mortality. We illustrate case 47-year-old male admitted to hospital fevers. The course was complicated cardiac arrest. Clinicians need be weary this rare occurrence particularly in areas known prevalence for prompt recognition improved patient outcomes.

AIM: Reliable and valid screening assessment tools are necessary to identify children at risk for neurodevelopmental disabilities who may require additional services. This study evaluated the test-retest reliability of Capute Scales in a high-risk sample, hypothesizing adequate across 6- 12-month intervals. METHODS: scores (N = 66) were collected via retrospective chart review from NICU follow-up clinic within large urban medical center spanning three age-ranges: 12–18, 19–24, 25–36 months....

Background: In trials of Project UPLIFT, a distance-delivered, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy intervention, there was improvement in the mental health people with epilepsy/seizure disorder. these trials, however, African Americans have been few. Thus, as this program is disseminated, it desirable to ensure that culturally appropriate for minority populations.

A 56-year-old woman with a chronic cyst and possible utero diethylstilbestrol exposure presented postmenopausal bleeding. Biopsy of the vagina revealed high-grade papillary serous adenocarcinoma. MRI showed 6-cm tumor 3-cm left inguinal lymph node metastasis. The patient initially received concurrent cisplatin radiation. She then high-dose-rate brachytherapy for further local control. In this report, we develop analytical models and implement numerical schemes to represent a coupled mechanical system of deflections stresses in beams joined together by continuous spring layer. We begin considering one-dimensional uniform rectangular beam resting on layer elastic material with another beneath the material. Following formulation nondimensionalization governing system, consider an analysis steady states, inverse design problem, dynamics linearized model. Numerical simulations...
