A bias-selectable photodetector, which can sense the wavelength of interest by tuning polarity applied bias, is useful for target discrimination and identification applications. So far, those detectors are generally based on back-to-back photodiode configuration via exploiting epitaxial semiconductors as optoelectronic materials, inevitably lead to high fabrication costs complex device architectures. Here, we demonstrate that our band-engineered van der Waals heterostructures be...

Modern infrared (IR) microscopy, communication, and sensing systems demand control of the spectral characteristics polarization states light. Typically, these require cascading multiple filters, optics, rotating components to manipulate light, inevitably increasing their sizes complexities. Here, we report two-terminal mid-infrared (mid-IR) emitters, in which tuning polarity applied bias can switch emission peak wavelengths linear along two orthogonal orientations. Our devices are composed...

The effectiveness of soybean meal (SBM) substitution with fermented peanut (FPM) were appraised in common carp juveniles. A diet containing 30 % SBM was perceived as the control diet, then 25 %, 50 75 and 100 replaced by FPM (FPM0, FPM25, FPM50, FPM75, FPM100 groups). Each group fed to three replicate groups (4.83 ± 0.02 g) for 56 days. Results exhibited that FPM50 attained significantly higher mass gain rate specific growth than those other except protein efficiency ratio lower feed...

The effects of CeF3 doping on the photoluminescence (PL) Si nanocrystals embedded in a SiO2 matrix, assigned as nc-Si:SiO2, have been studied. nc-Si:SiO2 sample was prepared by means reactive evaporation followed thermal annealing, and conducted via diffusion. It is found that able to enhance PL intensity nc-Si factor large 3.7. With increasing concentration, degree enhancement increases until maximum reached, then it drops down. This trend also holds for versus diffusion annealing...

We study photoluminescence (PL) of SiOx (0<x<2) thin films after annealing at temperatures in the range 700–1100 degrees C. The were prepared by evaporation SiO powder onto substrate Si(100). Two PL emission structures observed measuring 580–755 nm. one centred around ~730 nm was confirmed to be due Si nanocrystals. origin for other spanning 580–650 investigated using hydrogen and oxygen passivations, short time 1100 C followed hydrogenation. Our results support model structural defects SiO2...

Abstract A correlated imaging system with a flexible frame rate was proposed and fabricated on field programmable gate array for the acquisition of temperature images. Real-time images temperatures are reconstructed chip at 10 Hz, higher rates up to 1280 frames per second also achieved in case resolution sacrifice. The compressive sensing method enables dynamic An incandescent filament imaged compared using commercial charge-coupled device (CCD) camera. Reconstructed distributions agree well...

Peak position of photoluminescence (PL) Si nanocrystals was found to change in an exponential decay form with the increasing thickness SiOx (0<x<2) thin films. The results were interpreted terms a model modified from theory Zacharias–Streitenberger (Phys. Rev. B 62 (2000) 8391) energetic viewpoint. It inferred our that under certain conditions regarding energies interfaces between substrate and clusters matrix clusters, further cluster away substrate, larger nc-Si size until saturation is...
