This study addresses the influence of ultrasound irradiation on activation peroxymonosulfate (PMS) using reduced graphene oxide (rGO) under metal-free conditions for catalytic degradation rhodamine B (RhB), bisphenol A (BPA) and tetracycline (TC). Our results revealed that combination PMS/rGO ultrasonication enhanced significantly rate, reaching full in relatively short times with total organic carbon (TOC) removal exceeding 85% investigated pollutants. In contrast, these experimental...
Fe-doped ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized by sol gel technique. Fine-scale and single phase hexagonal wurtzite structure in all samples confirmed SEM XRD, respectively. The band gap energy depends on the amount of Fe was found to be range 3.11-2.53 eV. electric dielectric properties investigated using complex impedance spectroscopy. AC conductivity data correlated with barrier hopping (CBH) model evaluate binding (Wm), minimum distance (Rmin) density states at Fermi level, N(EF). doping...
Photoreduction of hexavalent chromium, Cr(VI), identified as carcinogenic and mutagenic element, to Cr(III), believed be an essential using copper sulfide nanostructures (CuS NSs) photocatalyst was investigated under visible light irradiation (λ > 420 nm). The CuS NSs were synthesized at low temperature a wet chemical route fully characterized various techniques such scanning electron microscopy, transmission X-ray diffraction, photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy UV–vis...
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are synthesized by the flame fragment deposition (FFD) technique using Iraqi liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as a source of carbon in hand-made reactor at low temperature (160 °C) without catalyst. Purification multi-walled (MWCNTs) is carried out two-step process consisting sonication 30 wt.% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) solution room to remove amorphous impurities adhering walls CNTs and nanoparticles (CNPs), followed an acetone bath polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) formed...
