Data on spectral line widths and shifts broadened by interactions with charged particles, for 44 lines in the spectrum of ionized tin, collisions electrons H II HeII ions, are presented as online available tables. We obtained them employing semiclassical perturbation theory temperatures, T, within 5000–100,000 K range, a grid perturber densities from 1014 cm−3 to 1020 cm−3. The Stark broadening data interest analysis synthesis tin spectra hot dense stars, such as, example, white dwarfs...

For a microwave plasma at atmospheric pressure the use of Stark broadening H α , β and γ lines to determine electron density temperature is reported. Knowing values these parameters important because electrons (density) their energy (temperature) control internal kinetics in discharge. We found that Gigosos–Cardeñoso model permitted us obtain same value from three Balmer lines. The dependence on for has application an intersection method try finding simultaneously. results have shown...

Surface wave plasma at atmospheric pressure has been used to produce the decomposition of alcohol molecules introduced into it, in order obtain hydrogen. Four alcohols, methanol, ethanol, propanol and butanol, have for this purpose. Optical emission spectroscopy was tool analyse radiation emitted by plasma. Hydrogen atoms other species such as C2 CH alcohols detected but no CO molecular bands. Also, a mass spectrometer detect hydrogen production methanol decomposition.

Stark broadening parameters, line width and shift, are needed for investigations, analysis modelling of astrophysical, laboratory, laser produced technological plasmas. Especially in astrophysics, due to constantly increasing resolution satellite borne spectrographs, large terrestrial telescopes, data on trace elements, which were previously insignificant, now have importance. The spectroscopic method for gas temperature determination in argon non-thermal plasmas sustained at atmospheric pressure proposed recently by Spectrochimica Acta Part B 129 14 (2017)—based on collisional broadening measurements of selected pairs atomic lines, has been applied to other and the discrepancies found some these results have analyzed. For validation purposes, values obtained using different lines compared with rotational temperatures derived from OH ro-vibrational bands,...

Cold atmospheric argon plasma jets have shown to be very promising in medicine and they are being currently used for therapeutical uses such as the healing of wounds or treatment tumors. Because run open atmosphere, generate copious amounts reactive oxygen nitrogen species, which play an outstanding role their biological action. Laboratory plasmas can be characterized by Optical Emission Spectroscopy techniques using Hydrogen Balmer series lines. The line shape is the result of convolution several internal process occuring in plasma. Stark effect over emitter atom has been studied a limited range plasma parameters, obtaining profile which sum given number Lorentzian functions for Hα and Hβ line.
