Abstract. Molecular composition and abundance of sugars secondary organic aerosols (SOA) from biogenic sources over the East China Sea were investigated based on gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. Biogenic SOA tracers exhibit higher levels in samples affected by continental air masses, demonstrating terrestrial outflows matter to Sea. Glucose was dominant sugar species (0.31–209, 18.8 ng m−3), followed mannitol – a fungal spore tracer. All compounds show generally average concentrations...

The application of biochars into soil may influence the fate contaminants. Sorption and competitive sorption metsulfuron-methyl (ME) tetracycline (TC) on corn straw prepared at 100 to 600°C (referred as CS100–CS600) were examined. Freundlich model described isotherms well. lower capacity (Koc) ME compared with TC was attributed electrostatic repulsion between anionic negatively charged biochars. No zwitterionic occurred. Tetracycline exhibited little competition for CS100–CS300 in bi-solute...
