The effects of Space Weather events on cosmic rays detected by the Solar Neutron Telescope (SNT) at Sierra Negra, Mexico, were studied. SNT is part Negra Cosmic Ray Observatory (SN-CRO), located 4580 m a.s.l. We analyzed data recorded six channels (C2, C3, C4, N2, N3, and N4) during geomagnetic storms from December 2015 to 2022. Using Dst Kp indices, 30 moderate (Dst < -50 nT, ≥ 5) intense -100 7) selected. C2, N3 N4 detect charged neutral particles, respectively, with energy deposition...
The Scibar Cosmic-Ray Telescope (SciCRT) is a brand new detector of the Sierra Negra Cosmic Rays Observatory (SN-CRO). It designed to observe solar neutrons and muon background produced by galactic cosmic rays. In this work we present Geant4-based simulation detection efficiency SciCRT; for purpose injected 10$^{5}$ muons, in an energy range from 100 1000 MeV, impinging SciCRT array. Our results provide information about performance may be used study variations low
Abstract The Scibar Cosmic-Ray Telescope (SciCRT) is the most promising detector of Sierra Negra Cosmic Rays Observatory (SN-CRO). At this location, being a target and tracker secondary cosmic rays, SciCRT offers high probability observing solar energetic particles lower energy galactic rays (LEGCR); also, it allows identification incoming by measuring their deposition. In work we present Geant4-based simulation deposited neutrons, $$\gamma $$ <mml:math...
