Abstract To study the hybrid effects of polypropylene fiber and basalt on fracture toughness concrete, 13 groups notched concrete beam specimens with different contents mass ratios were prepared for three-point bending test. Based acoustic emission monitoring data, initiation cracking load instability each group obtained, parameters calculated according to double-K criterion. The test results show that fiber-reinforced has a greater increase in initial toughness, coarse is more unstable....

Abstract This paper investigates the mechanical properties and permeability of chemically corroded rock during deep underground tunneling. Nuclear magnetic resonance tests are carried out to quantify chemical damage limestone samples at microscopic scale. Coupled hydrostatic pressure-unloading different unloading rates also conducted on these investigate changes effects behaviours. Magnetic imaging, T 2 spectrum distribution porosity obtained, micro is visualized quantified. The relationship...

To investigate the effects of mixing polypropylene fiber different sizes and effect size on impact characteristics concrete, two fine one coarse were selected to design fabricate nine groups fiber-reinforced concrete test specimens by controlling ratio conducting a split Hopkinson pressure bar obtain stress–strain curves in various groups, their parameters such as elasticity modulus, peak strength, strain. The incorporation improved pre-peak properties extents. Strain hardening did not occur...

Previously conducted studies have established that the soil–rock mixture in Chongqing area has characteristics of loose structure, poor stability, strong permeability, and so on. When building a tunnel stratum, it is necessary to reinforce surface rock mass surrounding by grouting improve safety excavation. To study diffusion mechanism cement slurry (Bingham fluid) mixtures, based on Bingham fluid flow equation model, fracture formula was derived, field tests indoor model were carried out...

This investigation focused on the cementation mechanisms and mechanical properties of soil–rock mixtures–slurry cement (SRM–SC) to ensure safety tunnels during operation. SRM–SC specimens were prepared with different types slurry rock contents based an actual injection ratio. The macroscopic level analysis involved measuring specimens’ uniaxial compressive strength shear strength, determining parameters, analyzing damage forms. At microscopic level, surface morphology composition examined...
