Abstract Climate change and global migrations of people goods have exposed trees to new diseases abiotic challenges that threaten the survival species. In vitro germplasm storage via cryopreservation is an effective tool ensure conservation tree species, but plant cells tissues are multiple stresses during process. The current study was designed evaluate potential melatonin improve through process cryopreservation. Shoot tips in vitro‐grown plantlets dormant winter buds American elm were...

Explants of mature pot-grown Vaccinium corybosum L. cultivars were tested for initiation new shoots using two growing conditions and four cytokinin treatments. Initiation tests with 12 genotypes showed significantly higher rates shoot growth on modified woody plant (MWPM) medium 4 mg zeatin/liter at 25C under low light intensity than any other treatment. in 10 or 15 2iP/liter initiated a moderate rate, but lower found all controls 4C darkness. To determine the utility zeatin diverse...

Apical meristems of four pears (Pyrus communis L. cv . Beurre Hardy, P. koehnei Schneider, cossonii Coss. and Dur., a hybrid, dimorphophylla Makino × fauriei Schneider) were tested for their ability to survive immersion in liquid nitrogen. Plantlets grown vitro at 25C or cold-hardened 1 week – 1C before cooling rates 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.8 C/rein –40C, followed by plunging the vials into Vials thawed min 40C. A cryoprotectant mixture polyethylene glycol, glucose, dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) was...

Twelve microsatellites were isolated from simple sequence repeat (SSR)-enriched genomic libraries of ‘Meeker’ red raspberry ( Rubus idaeus ) and ‘Marion’ blackberry hybrid). These primer pairs plus one developed a GenBank evaluated in 48 genotypes. Only RhM031 did not generate product raspberry, whereas RiG001 failed to amplify hybrid accessions. The number polymerase chain reaction products per pair the 12 SSRs that successfully amplified was higher genotypes their hybrids than ranging...
