Abstract We demonstrate synthesis of a new low‐D hybrid perovskitoid (a perovskite‐like halide structure, yellow crystals, P 21/ n space group) using zwitterion cysteamine (2‐aminoethanethiol) linker, and its remarkable molecular diffusion‐controlled crystal‐to‐crystal transformation to Ruddlesden‐Popper phase (Red Pnma group). Our stable intermediate distinctly differs from all previous reports by way unique staggered arrangement holes in the puckered 2D configuration with face‐sharing...

Several new structurally diverse carbonyl functional group-based iodoantimonate organic-inorganic hybrid crystals are synthesized using an in situ formed oxonium cationic precursor. These exhibit interesting optoelectronic properties consistent with DFT calculations. Charge transfer and photoluminescence quenching between these Au nanoparticulate films examined for potential application interest.

A mixed-halide (I/Br) 2D/3D perovskite is formed by incorporating bromide via quaternary alkylammonium salt and iodide methylammonium iodide. The X-ray diffraction analysis reveals the mixed constitution, with both components having halide stoichiometry. Importantly, this tetrabutylammonium incorporated material not only exhibits almost two orders of magnitude enhancement photoluminescence intensity but concurrently a higher photo-stability (at desirable bandgap 1.77 eV) than pure 3D case....

A new strategy has been developed to sensitize centrosymmetrically packed organic luminogens, which generally do not respond external stimuli owing their zero gross dipole moment and degenerate electronic energy states in solid-state packing. To achieve this goal, a series of fused biheterocyclic luminogens exhibiting centrosymmetric packing (P-1 P21/c space group) have synthesized via cost-effective, atom-economical, metal-catalyzed "one-pot" C–H bond activation route. The designed...
