In the present study, we aimed to investigate association between genetic polymorphisms in period (PER) genes and bone mineral density (BMD) postmenopausal Korean women. The PER1 c.2247C> T c.2884C> G polymorphisms; PER2 c.661G> A c.3731G> PER3 c.2592G> A, c.3029C> T, c.3035C> c.3083T> C polymorphisms, 54 bp variable number tandem repeats polymorphism were analyzed 551 women. Serum leptin, soluble leptin receptor, osteoprotegerin, receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand, markers...

Objective In this study, we aimed to explore the association between polymorphisms in period (PER) gene and bone response hormone therapy (HT) postmenopausal Korean women. Methods The PER1 c.2284C > G, c.2247C T, PER2 c.3731G A, PER3 c.2592G c.3083T C polymorphisms, 54bp variable number of tandem repeats (VNTR) were analyzed 509 women who received HT. Bone mineral density (BMD) at lumbar spine femoral neck before after 1 year HT serum levels osteoprotegerin (OPG), soluble receptor activator...

We fabricated 2-dimensional THz metamaterial to manipulate the Fano resonance. adopted a double-split ring resonator (DSRR) metaparticle possessing polarization-dependent low-Q and high-Q resonances as basic structure embedded rod inside DSRRs achieve polarization control of coupling. also carried out FDTD simulation obtain absorption spectra metamaterial. confirmed that analytical model is in agreement with numerical simulations experimental result time domain measurement.

A model for transmission modulation is developed, and the experimental characterization of Fabry-Perot interferometer with polymer thin film by tuning angles at a fixed wavelength presented. Suitable approximations can be made to allow determination electro-optic coefficients spacer layer polymeric materials. For this study, we devices films metal mirrors, measured transmission-mode characteristics.
