Post-Liver transplantation (LT) survival rates stagnate, with biliary complications (BC) as a major cause of death. We analyzed longitudinal data median 19-month follow-up. BC was diagnosed ultrasounds and MRCP. Missing imputed using mean median. Data preprocessing involved feature scaling one-hot encoding. Survival analysis used filter (Cox-P, Cox-c) embedded (RSF, LASSO) selection methods. Seven machine learning algorithms were used: LASSO, Ridge, RSF, E-NET, GBS, C-GBS, FS-SVM. Model...

Primary sclerosing cholangitis is an autoimmune illness affecting the intrahepatic and/or extrahepatic bile ducts that has a varying clinical history and no clear therapy. Recurrence of primary after transplantation can cause recurring liver failure, decreased survival, necessity for retransplant. Here, we explored incidence recurrence while also identifying risk factors cholangitis.

Abstract Background Esophageal motility disorders are mainly evaluated with high‐resolution manometry (HRM) which is a time‐consuming and uncomfortable procedure potential adverse events. Acoustic characterization of the swallowing has to be an alternative noninvasive procedure. Methods We compared findings on HRM sounds in 43 patients who were referred for evaluation dysphagia. The sound analysis was done empirical mode decomposition method artificial intelligence (AI) estimated integrated...

Granular cell tumors (GCTs) of the gastrointestinal tract are rare neoplasms often detected incidentally as subepithelial lesions during endoscopic examination. The occurrence GCTs in gastric cavity is even rarer. So far, there have been only four reports multifocal GCTs. Our study presents fifth case involving a middle-aged lady with incidental GCT. It first such reported West Asia.

Background: Differential diagnosis of hypokalemia and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)-dependent Cushing's syndrome often presents challenging in endocrinology requires careful clinical, biochemical, radiological, pathological investigations. Hypokalemia is a common abnormality systematic approach required to avoid delays important underlying causes. Case Summary: A 49-year-old woman presented with moderate hypokalemia. Further evaluation showed hypercortisolism due ectopic ACTH secretion....
