Experimental search for ${}^{5}\mathrm{H}$ using a secondary beam of ${}^{6}\mathrm{He}$ has been performed. The transfer reaction ${}^{1}\mathrm{H}{(}^{6}\mathrm{He}{,}^{2}\mathrm{He}{)}^{5}\mathrm{H}$ was studied by detecting two protons emitted from the decay ${}^{2}\mathrm{He}$. A peak consistent with resonance at $1.7\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.3\mathrm{MeV}$ above $n+n+t$ threshold observed, width $1.9\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.4\mathrm{MeV}$. angular distribution measured as well...
The problem of the nuclear stability superheavy chemical elements began to attract a great deal attention soon after methods calculating their deformation energy had been developed and significant fission barriers predicted for nuclei having proton neutron numbers close magic Z=114 N=184. Experiments produce in heavy-ion reactions have so far unsuccessful. It is not excluded that element (SHE) could be produced deep inelastic transfer involved system 248Cm+238U. Consideration mechanisms...
The low-lying spectra of 8He and 10He nuclei were studied in the 3H(6He, p)8He 3H(8He, p)10He transfer reactions. 0+ ground state (g.s.) excited states, 2+ at 3.6–3.9MeV (1+) 5.3–5.5 MeV, populated with cross sections 200, 100–250, 90–125 μb/sr, respectively. Some evidence for a about 7.5 MeV was obtained. We discuss possible nature near-threshold anomaly above 2.14 relate it to population 1− continuum (soft dipole excitation) peak value 3 MeV. lowest energy group events spectrum observed ∼3...
The emission of ${}^{10}\mathrm{Be}$ in ternary cold neutronless spontaneous fission ${}^{252}\mathrm{Cf}$ is observed with the Gammasphere consisting 72 detectors. $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ ray corresponding to decay first ${2}^{+}$ state coincidence rays partners ${}^{96}\mathrm{Sr}$ and ${}^{146}\mathrm{Ba}$. yield excited ${}^{96}\mathrm{Sr}{\ensuremath{-}}^{146}\mathrm{Ba}$ split order $4.0\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$ per 100 events.
Experimental search for the superheavy 7H isotope was performed in reaction p(8He,pp)7H with 8He beam at 61.3A MeV. The evidence existence of state near t+4n threshold obtained. In same experiment, p(8He,t) populating ground and excited 2(+) 6He investigated. obtained results argue on a specific structure containing subsystem large weight.
High resolution $\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ and $\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\gamma}\ensuremath{-}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ coincidences in the spontaneous fission of $^{252}\mathrm{Cf}$ were measured. Relative yields neutron multiplicities from zero up to 10 extracted directly for first time Zr-Ce Mo-Ba correlated fragment pairs. The 0, 8, new emission are significantly larger than those reported previously total fission. Our results demonstrate that...
Several γ transitions in 105−109Tc nuclei were identified for the first time from spontaneous fission studies with a 252Cf source and Gammasphere. New level schemes are proposed related to underlying nuclear structure. Positive parity bands large signature splitting observed 105,107,109Tc evidently derived g9/2 orbitals similar analogous 103Rh,103Ag, 99Y. have also been 139−143Cs used construct these isotopes. Correlated-pair yields extracted data show an appreciable field zero neutron...
Level schemes of $^{111}\mathrm{Rh}$ and $^{113}\mathrm{Rh}$ are proposed from the analysis $\ensuremath{\gamma}\text{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\gamma}\text{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\gamma}$ coincidence data a $^{252}\mathrm{Cf}$ spontaneous fission source with Gammasphere. These have highest excitation energies spins yet established in these nuclei, as well weakly populated bands not reported earlier fission-$\ensuremath{\gamma}$ work. From data, information on shapes is inferred. By...
The 0+ ground state of the 10He nucleus produced in 3H(8He,p)10He reaction was found at about $2.1\pm0.2$ MeV (\Gamma ~ 2 MeV) above three-body 8He+n+n breakup threshold. Angular correlations observed for decay products show prominent interference patterns allowing to draw conclusions structure low-energy excited states. We interpret as a coherent superposition broad 1- having maximum energy 4-6 and 2+ 6 MeV, setting both on top "tail". This anomalous level ordering indicates that breakdown...
The phenomenon of cold (neutronless) alpha ternary fission in spontaneous ${}^{252}$Cf was experimentally observed by triple gamma coincidence technique with Gammasphere 72 gamma-ray detectors. Correlated pairs ${}_{36}$Kr-${}_{60}$Nd, ${}_{38}$Sr-${}_{58}$Ce, ${}_{40}$Zr-${}_{56}$Ba, ${}_{42}$Mo-${}_{54}$Xe, ${}_{44}$Ru-${}_{52}$Te, and ${}_{46}$Pd-${}_{50}$Sn were to be associated $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ ${}^{252}$Cf. Yields extracted.
Independent yields of 139 individual secondary (appearing after neutron evaporation) fragment pairs five different charge splits ${(Z}_{L}{/Z}_{H}=$46/52, 44/54, 42/56, 40/58, and 38/60) have been experimentally measured by detecting the coincidences between prompt $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ rays emitted in spontaneous fission ${}^{252}\mathrm{Cf}.$ Nuclear mass distributions fragments that follow from are consistent with similar previously known more integral data. Another type data extracted is...
From $\ensuremath{\gamma}$-ray coincidence studies following spontaneous fission of ${}^{252}\mathrm{Cf}$, direct measurements yields and neutron multiplicities were made for Sr-Nd, Zr-Ce, Mo-Ba, Ru-Xe, Pd-Te correlated pairs. A strong enhancement the 7-10 channels Mo-Ba pairs is observed. new mode associated with enhanced identified. These data can be interpreted in terms one or more ${}^{144,145,146}\mathrm{Ba}$ being hyperdeformed at scission. Mean field calculations predict a third...
New level schemes of odd-$Z$ $^{105,107,109}\mathrm{Tc}$ are proposed based on the $^{252}\mathrm{Cf}$ spontaneous-fission-gamma data taken with Gammasphere in 2000. Bands levels considerably extended and expanded to show rich spectroscopic information. Spin/parity configuration assignments made determinations multipolarities low-lying transitions analogies previously reported levels, those neighboring $\mathrm{Rh}$ isotopes. A non-yrast negative-parity band built...
Half-lives ${T}_{1/2}$ of states in $^{95,97}\mathrm{Sr}$, $^{97,100,104}\mathrm{Zr}$, $^{106}\mathrm{Mo}$, and $^{148}\mathrm{Ce}$, which decay by delayed \ensuremath{\gamma} transitions, were determined using a new time-gated triple coincidence method. Transition energy dependent effects such as time walks, jitters, amplitude possible timing fluctuations Ge detectors that contribute to the width window taken into consideration comparing prompt cascades with similar transition energies. It...
The nuclear system $^{5}\mathrm{H}$ was studied using the $^{3}\mathrm{H}$($t,p$)$^{5}\mathrm{H}$ transfer reaction at a laboratory energy of 57.7 MeV and small center mass angles. angular correlations among decay fragments were obtained by complete kinematical reconstruction. A broad structure in missing spectrum above 2.5 with typical width several identified as mixture $3/{2}^{+}$ $5/{2}^{+}$ states. Analysis interference patterns observed measured disclosed $1/{2}^{+}$ ground state...
