The mechanical pretreatments intensities on characteristics of cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) prior to acid hydrolysis was evaluated. submitted pretreatment as: magnetic stirring (CNCst), blending (CNCbl) or grinding by 20 (CNC20x) and 40 (CNC40x) passages in a super mass colloid mill. Then, all samples were H2SO4 the CNC evaluated total yield (TMY%), rheological behavior, size distribution for width/length (WD), crystallinity index (CI%), OSO3- substitution degree (SD) zeta potential (ζ)....
Cryogels of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) and bacterial cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) were prepared with 0, 5, or 15 wt% contents CNC. Two types CNC used, namely, CNC‐SO 4 CNC, ζ‐potential values − (46 ± 1) mV (5 mV, respectively. Regardless the type content, all cryogels presented similar density, capillarity constant, contact angle, swelling rate values, morphology. However, addition only 5% to HPMC increased compressive modulus from (120 15) kPa (150 19) kPa. The tested as...
Aims: Develop and analyze triple-negative breast cancer targeted nanoparticles loaded with the demethylating agent decitabine. Materials & methods: The polymers were synthesized by ring-opening polymerization of D,L-lactide formulated into via emulsion-evaporation method. characterized physicochemical analysis as well in vitro using cell lineages. Results conclusion: exhibited a hydrodynamic diameter 75 ± 12 nm, zeta potential -6.3 0.2 mV spherical morphology, displayed greater accumulation...
Abstract This work demonstrates the isolation of lignocellulose micro-nanofibrils, nanocrystals and nanospheres from steam-exploded sugarcane bagasse (SEB). First, steam-explosion was carried out in at 195 °C for 7.5 15 min (SEB-7.5 SEB-15). Untreated also pretreated by mechanical refining (MRB) a PFI mill comparison. Then, SEB MRB fibers were submitted to alkaline delignification, hypochlorite bleaching 60 or 180 (HB60 HB180), enzymatic hydrolysis (endoglucanase), high-pressure...
