Abstract In this work, we present a numerical investigation of the transmission and switching fundamental solitons in asymmetric nonlinear directional couplers, constructed with dispersion decreasing fibers (DDF). configuration, coupler consists two separated parallel fibers, one DDF profile other constant profile. We obtained characteristics transmission, extinction ratio, compression factor device. The truth tables for logic gates AND, OR, XOR were obtained. concluded that device...

In this work, we present a numerical study to investigate the transmission, extinction ratio, crosstalk and compression factor outputs of Mach–Zehnder interferometer in photonic crystal fibers by varying nonlinearity parameter fiber from β = 1 2 for three different profiles (constant, increasing decreasing) scenarios (P 0 Pc, P < Pc > Pc). We observed that highest transmission (T 67%), ratio (XR 3.57 dB) lowest (Xtalk -5.25 occurred third scenario 110 kW Pc) considering decreasing...

We present a study of the dielectric properties and behaviour resonator antennas (DRAs) based on SrBi2Nb2O9 (SBN)-Bi2O3 composites. X-ray diffraction is used for structural characterisation samples it indicates formation new phase after addition Bi2O3. The temperature coefficient resonant frequency (τ f) measured results demonstrate that increment Bi2O3 improves thermal stability composites from −345.62 to −235.02 ppm/°C. For properties, observed additions cause phases, which higher ϵ' than...

The solid-state reaction method was used for obtaining LaNbO4 (LNO) samples doped with Pr3+ (1 mol%). Results of XRD and Rietveld refinement confirms that the LNO phase remains in sample without formation secondary phases. Down-conversion studies were performed under 470 nm excitation bands red region observed. intensity most intense band (650 nm) is increased by approximately 65% dopant addition. Even very low power demonstrates a well-defined luminescence profile, indicating LNO:Pr1% can...

Abstract In this article, we present a numerical simulation study of encoding, decoding and propagation performance short optical pulses words with modulations OOK, PAM PPM in OCDMA systems (Optical Code Division Multiple Access). The encoding are obtained through fiber Bragg grating(FBG – FBG optical) devices, where the codes inserted discrete jumps phase (±

In this work, we studied the optical bistability of Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) under nonlinear regime, considering three increasing and decreasing profiles nonlinearity: linear, quadratic exponential. We varied nonlinearity range in each profile, obtained different curves reflectivity. analyzed powers [Formula: see text] text], as well width photonic band gap ([Formula: device profiles, observed changes reflectivity FBG. The power intensities for were lower than those values also which is...
