In this research, hydroxyapatite (HA)–chitosan–titania nanocomposite coatings were formed on 316 L stainless steel using electrophoretic deposition (EPD) from alcoholic (methanol and ethanol) suspensions containing 0.5 g/L chitosan 2 5 HA Titania. The effect of different parameters the rate, morphology, corrosion resistance in simulated body fluid (SBF) at 37 °C has been studied. coatings’ properties investigated Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) scanning electron microscope...
Additive manufacturing of magnesium (Mg) alloys is interest for the fabrication complex-shaped lightweight materials. This study evaluates microstructure WE43 Mg alloy deposited using laser powder directed energy deposition (LPDED) additive technique in as-deposited and post-processed conditions. As-deposited samples exhibited roughly 2% porosity, which was reduced to below 0.1% after hot isostatic pressing. Despite limited grain growth heat treatment, some grains experienced abnormal...
