This letter presents a second-order tri-band bandpass filter (BPF) designed using tri-section stepped-impedance resonators (TSSIRs). The impedance ratios of the TSSIRs were computed formulas expressed as functions passband center frequencies, which are located at 1.57, 2.45, and 3.5 GHz. A cross-coupled configuration was arranged to sharpen skirts. newly BPF verified by circuit implementation very good agreement between simulated measured results observed.

A novel design is described for a circularly polarized square slot antenna (CPSSA). Circular polarization (CP) operations can be attained using lightening-shaped feedline protruded from the signal line of feeding coplanar waveguide (CPW). The CP bandwidth significantly enhanced by implanting pair inverted-L grounded strips into and adjusting dimensions feedline, whereas impedance greatly enlarged through tuning embedded vertical horizontal stubs. designed was measured to exhibit as high 48.8%.
