An isomer of ZnC3 with bent structure in its 1A′ electronic state has been detected the products from dual laser ablation carbon and zinc rods that were trapped solid Ar at ∼12 K. Measurements 13C isotopic shifts have enabled identification ν1(a′) asymmetric stretching fundamental 1858.9 cm−1. The experimental results are good agreement predictions DFT-B3LYP/6-311G(d) calculations indicate a singlet ground triplet linear cyclic isomers lying slightly higher energy. This is first optical...

The linear MgC(3)(-) anion has been identified in the products from dual Nd:YAG laser ablation of carbon and magnesium rods trapped solid Ar at ∼12 K. Measurements (13)C isotopic shifts confirm identification ν(1)(σ) vibrational fundamental 1797.5 cm(-1). A second ν(2)(σ) tentatively 1190.1 results are good agreement with predictions density functional theory calculations using B3LYP 6-311+G(d) basis set. This is first optical detection isomer MgC(3)(-).

Linear MnC3 has been detected in the products from dual laser ablation of carbon and manganese rods trapped solid Ar at ∼12 K. The ν1(σ) vibrational fundamental, an asymmetric stretching mode, identified 1846.9 cm−1. Fourier transform infrared measurements 13C isotopic shift are good agreement with predictions density functional theory calculations using mPW1PW91 6–311+G(3df) basis set. This is first optical detection linear isomer for which previous photoelectron spectroscopy studies have...

In this study, optical properties of thin films made different volume ratios polysulfone (PS) and magnesium oxide (MgO) film deposited on germania (GeO2 ) were studied as a function wavelength in the range 0.3 – 1.1 μm using Matlab. Refractive indices, extinction coefficients, absorption coefficients investigated. The transmittance spectra PS-MgO thicknesses GeO2 substrate also examined. found to show an increase with MgO percentage film. However, absorbance was be high ultraviolet. results...
