Abstract Differences between the perceptions of self‐raters and other observers are often found on 360‐degree feedback instruments. This article reports nature these self–observer differences. Specifically, discrepancies were to be stable over time. In addition, skill‐based multirater instruments related personality‐based suggests that accuracy in self‐perception is a individual difference. The implications for job performance personality assessment discussed. © 1993 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Surgery causes changes in hemostasis, leading to a hypercoagulable state. This postoperative increase hemostatic function is attenuated patients receiving regional anesthesia compared with those general anesthesia. Regional also decreases the neuroendocrine response surgery anesthesia, and this effect hypothesized be responsible for differences hemostatis. To test hypothesis that hormones cause we infused stress into normal volunteers measured function. After drug screening, 12 were studied....

In 2009, aquatic bird eggs from a variety of species were collected three sites in northern Alberta, Canada. Two located receiving waters the Athabasca River, which drains oil sands industrial region north Fort McMurray, Alberta. The third site, on Peace was remote influence River. Levels mercury, arsenic, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) measured along with nitrogen stable isotopes (δ¹⁵N) as an indicator trophic position. As PAHs low, whereas Hg measureable all samples. Egg...

SUMMARY We have examined prospectively the plasma ferritin levels during management often patients with porphyria cutanea tarda (PCT) who were being treated by venesection. compared clinical features as well plasma, urine and faecal porphyrin levels. Plasma found to be variable initial period of treatment, then decreased in parallel improvement. Clinical remission a fall lagged several weeks behind near exhaustion body iron stores indicated This lag are best explained, we believe, presence...

Elders and Indigenous land users in the Peace-Athabasca Delta (PAD) have observed a dramatic decline relative abundance of muskrat recent decades (~1935–2014). The main explanation for has been reduction suitable habitat as result with reduced frequency ice-jam flooding on Peace River. Under favourable conditions, ice jams can cause perched basins within PAD that would otherwise receive no recharge from floodwaters. To examine whether is driven by flooding, we tested predictions density...

The fall in blood pressure obtained with subsequent injections of depressor-free pituitary extracts given at short intervals and doses considerably larger than the initial injection is an intrinsic property post hormone, probably due to marked alteration cardio-vascular apparatus resulting from first dose. This inversion effect accordingly not presence depressor bodies, as maintained by Hogben Schlapp.
