Extensive fieldwork carried out on the Andean forests of Colombia resulted in discovery Lepanthes cordillerana, described here as a novel taxon. The new species is most similar to teres from Ecuador, which it can be easily distinguished by ciliated margins leaf, oblong-acute lower lobe petals and capitate, cuneate basally, apically caved, villose appendix. Despite its wide distribution across three Colombian mountain ranges, landscape analysis shows that 50% recorded wild populations endemic...
Pleurothallis subsection Macrophyllae-Fasciculatae is the most species-rich infrageneric grouping within this genus. Within subsection, based on floral and vegetative morphology, we recognize P. cardiostola-P. lilijae complex, an expansion of Luer's previously proposed Cardiostolae. The nature two species cardiostola clarified here to allow comparison additional 24 possible members complex. Recognizing lanigera as distinct from cardiostola, other putative each other, brings complex described...

Three new species of Lepanthes from the Western Cordillera Colombian Andes are described and illustrated. The were found during several botanical expeditions to mountains in San José del Salado, department Valle Cauca, Colombia.
A new species of Pleurothallis from subsection Macrophyllae-Fasciculatae is described and illustrated.
