Internet of Things (IoT) is a fast developing vision in which physical quantities are digitized, processed and analyzed. Mobile (IoMT) as one new domains IoT, due to mobility, requires more demanding rigorous solution many aspects, especially terms energy efficiency. We propose consisting efficient hardware platform for building IoMT Fog layer facilities. Experimental results presented prove superiority the proposed several aspects popular general purpose platforms.

The role of smart and autonomous systems is becoming vital in many areas industry society. Expectations from such continuously rise become more ambitious: long lifetime, high reliability, performance, energy efficiency, adaptability, particularly the presence changing environments. Computational self-awareness promises a comprehensive assessment system state for sensible well-informed actions resource management. concepts can be used applications as automated manufacturing plants,...

The System-on-Chip revolution has not impacted the field of safety-critical systems as widely rest electronics market. However, it is nowadays acknowledged that sharing resources between applications different criticality a key leverage to reduce costs and improve performance. Certification hosting such mixed-criticality application sets requires sufficient isolation levels, i.e. low-critical task must cause fault in high-critical task, especially temporal fault, which likely when several...

The Complexity of emerging multi/many-core architectures and diversity modern workloads demands coordinated dynamic resource management methods. We introduce a classification for these methods capturing the utilized resources metrics. In this work, we use to survey key efforts in management. first cover heuristic optimization used manage such as power, energy, temperature, Quality-of-Service (QoS) reliability system. then identify some machine learning based tuning architectural parameters...

Although there are a number of professions that include communication among participants whose native languages not shared, so far no research has been carried out exploring how Hungarian truck drivers get along in their daily routine with limited language competence. This paper is based on qualitative investigation to investigate what kind competence possess, situations they participate in, language-based challenges face, whether consider adequate carry work and, finally, other skills and...

Embedded systems have proliferated in various consumer and industrial applications with the evolution of Cyber-Physical Systems Internet Things. These are subjected to stringent constraints so that embedded software must be optimized for multiple objectives simultaneously, namely reduced energy consumption, execution time, code size. Compilers offer optimization phases improve these metrics. However, proper selection ordering them depends on factors typically requires expert knowledge....

We define quality of service requirements for mixed-criticality systems based on min-plus algebra rather than discrete criticality levels. The (1) unify a spectrum weakly-hard real-time with strongly-hard and soft as extreme cases (2) support dynamic tuning task importance. paper elaborates the relation to scheduling theory systems. supported timing requirements, computational complexity, feasibility are discussed.
