The diversity of dung beetles is still underestimated in northeastern Brazil. Recent collections have revealed new records the following species: Canthon histrio (Lepeletier de Saint-Fargeau & Audinet-Serville, 1828), Coprophanaeus acrisius (MacLeay, 1819), dardanus Deltochilum alpercata Silva et al., 2015, brasiliense (Castelnau, 1840), Dichotomius gilletti Valois 2017, iannuzziae Eurysternus calligrammus Dalman, 1824, parallelus Castelnau, 1840, Oxysternon silenus and Phanaeus...

Describing dung beetle communities in tropical forest remnants located disturbed/urbanized and conserved areas can provide information about the functioning of these ecosystems support conservation plans. This study aimed to verify effect seasons bait type on Atlantic Forest order describe their composition diversity parameters. The was carried out during both rainy dry periurban urban remnants. Eighteen pitfall traps baited with feces, carrion, injured millipedes were established each site....

Abstract Understanding the spatiotemporal distribution of diversity has been a significant challenge in field conservation biology. Presently, there exists limited understanding spatial passalid beetles within decomposing logs, as well their microhabitats such cortex, heartwood and trunk–soil interface. Moreover, is scarcity studies that delve into temporal patterns beetles. We evaluate effect seasons year on an Altitudinal Atlantic Forest. More specifically, effects period were analysed...
