To probe the reactivity of 2,4,6-trimethylphenol with humic triplet excited states, we investigated its influence on substances-mediated photooxygenation offurfuryl alcohol. Elliott soil and fulvic acids were employed for these experiments. When added in concentration range 10(-4) - 10(-3) M, inhibited furfuryl alcohol to an extent depending concentration. The inhibiting effect decreased as oxygen was increased. By postulating that competes reaction states singlet oxygen, obtained kinetic...

This study investigates the influence of atomic radii copper, cobalt, and cadmium on photocatalytic activity anatase TiO2 xerogels synthesized via solgel method. All samples were annealed at 550 °C for 20 min crystallized into pure phase, as confirmed by XRD Raman spectroscopy. Dopant incorporation matrix reduced grain size (from 24.01 to 9.78 nm) decreased bandgap energy 3.44 3.19 eV). Photocatalytic degradation methylene blue (MB) revealed enhanced doped samples, with rates increasing from...

Titanium dioxide manganese/multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MTiO₂/x-CNT) nanocomposites were successfully prepared using the sol-gel method by reaction specific amounts of CNT with titanium and manganese, aiming to shift band edge toward longer wavelengths provide more effective separation electron-hole pairs. The MTiO₂ MTiO₂/CNTs then characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), UV–vis absorption spectra. results confirm successful synthesis presence Mn...

Peat humic acid was fractionated by tangential ultrafiltration into six nominal molecular weight (NMW) fractions, HA5−10, HA10−20, HA20−50, HA50−100, HA100−300 and HA>300, which were purified dialysis using a 0.5 kDa membrane. The absorbing emission properties of the separated fractions compared their ability to generate singlet oxygen under light excitation evaluated, furfuryl alcohol (FFA) as scavenger. absorbance, intensity, apparent first order rate constants FFA loss normalized per mole...

In this work, a local Algerian agricultural waste biomass, Ziziphus jujuba, was valorized into new low-cost biochar (JB).The produced by simple pyrolysis at 700°C for 1 h under an inert atmosphere and used as adsorbent to remove Indigo carmine dye (IC) from aqueous solution. The JB characterized Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy-energy-dispersive X-ray diffraction, Raman, pH pzc , Brunauer-Emmett-Teller physico-chemical techniques.Adsorption studies were...

AbstractThis study discusses the contribution of Cu2+ and Mg2+, two biologically important ions substituted into structure fluorohydroxyapatite. FHA, a partial substitution fluorine ion in HA has received great attention because it improves corrosion resistance orthopedic implants. Copper, Magnesium copper-Magnesium doped fluorohydroxyapatite (FHA) coatings were electrochemical deposited on titanium (Ti) using cyclic voltammetry technique. The properties identified by X-ray diffraction...
