The composition and oxidation state of aerosol iron were examined using synchrotron-based near-edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy. By combining techniques with water leachate analysis, impacts mineralogy on solubility assessed for samples taken from multiple locations in the Southern Atlantic Oceans; also Noida (India), Bermuda, Eastern Mediterranean (Crete). These sampling capture iron-containing aerosols different source regions varying marine, mineral dust, anthropogenic influences....

Field burning of crop residues (FBCR) has significant environmental costs in terms concerning emissions and natural resource loss. Such is increasingly common the developing world regions like India, ambient levels carbon monoxide (CO), a criteria-pollutant, during such seasons not been studied as yet by any research or pollution monitoring agencies region. In this instance, in-situ field studies were conducted northern Indo-Gangetic plains to study CO rice wheat (the major subject FBCR...

The RAWEX-GVAX field campaign has been carried out from June 2011 to March 2012 over a high altitude site Manora Peak, Nainital (29.4 degrees N; 79.2 E; 1958 m amsl) in the central Himalayas assess impacts of absorbing aerosols on atmospheric thermodynamics and clouds. This paper presents preliminary results observations data analysis Doppler Lidar, installed at Nainital. Strong updrafts with vertical winds range similar 2-4 ms(-1) occurred during daytime throughout season indicating...

Abstract Leachate from Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) landfill has long known to be an environmental concern worldwide. The composition of leachate may contain metals, ammonia, organics, other toxicants and carcinogens, having major concern, with implications for plant, animal human health. pollution soil, surface ground water is also some the immediate related leachate. This problem growing at alarming rate in developing countries including Ethiopia, Adigrat happens one such fast small city...
