We propose the tree rings of European Larch (Larix decidua) as a widely available and reliable geochemical archive local regional changes in atmospheric mercury (Hg). Mean Hg concentrations larch from 8 background sites across Czech Republic ranged 2.2 to 4.8 μg kg–1; maximum occurred period 1951–1970. At 3 impacted by Hg-emission sources [gold amalgamation processing, caustic soda production, lead (Pb) ore smelting] mean ring were significantly elevated relative sites. Changes temporally...
Abstract From 2011 to 2019, mercury (Hg) stores and fluxes were studied in the small forested catchment Lesní potok (LES) central Czech Republic using watershed mass balance approach together with internal measurements. Mean input of Hg via open bulk deposition, beech throughfall spruce during periodwere 2.9, 3.9 7.6 μg m −2 year −1 , respectively. These values considerably lower than corresponding deposition reported early years 21st century from catchments Germany. Current precipitation...
Introduction: Acute cellular rejection (ACR) of heart allografts represents the most common reason for graft failure. Endomyocardial biopsies (EMB) are still subject to substantial interobserver variability. Novel biomarkers enabling precise ACR diagnostics may decrease We aimed identify a specific subset microRNAs reflecting presence ACR. Patients and Methods: Monocentric retrospective study. A total 38 patients with anamnesis were identified each patient three consecutive samples EMB...
The article describes the process of aggregation media-based data about coronavirus pandemic in Olomouc region, Czech Republic. Originally non-spatially located news from different sources and various platforms (government, social media, portals) were automatically aggregated into a centralized database. application “COVID-map” is an interactive web map solution which visualizes records database spatial way. COVID-map has been developed within Ad hoc online hackathon as academic project at...
