Abstract Hard metals are in great demand areas that require high hardness and wear resistance. Tungsten carbide excels this area, especially with cobalt as a binder phase [1, 2]. For microstructural characterization, choosing an applicable preparation method is the most essential step. Publications concerning WC-Co materials were published by National Physical Laboratory Teddington, England, notably Prof. B. Roebuck, though influence of methods was not entirely explored. Electron backscatter...
Synthesis and photophysical characterization of alternating indigo–fluorene copolymers.
In this work, we present a novel small molecule based on dithienylthienothiadiazole units (named SM1) acting as an efficient component in ternary blend organic solar cells to modify the hole extraction at interface. Our findings show that SM1 suppresses surface recombination and enhances open-circuit voltage (Voc). By introducing host system composed of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM), obtained Voc values up 0.75 V fill factors larger than 70%...
In (cis) cyclopentadithiophene, the large Stokes shift is due to a bond length change whereas with α2 (trans) it involves in dihedral angle.
This paper presents the influence of milling media on structure and morphology WC–Co powders for sintered tools. have been milled in two different organic media, acetone isohexane. The characterisation as-milled samples has done by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) differential calorimetry. mean crystallite size decreases with time processed acetone, while case isohexane, stays at a relatively constant value when increasing duration. calculated is below 50 nm any...
In a copolymer with indigo and CPDT, fast ESPT and/or intrachain energy transfer are observed whereas conformational relaxation is absent.
Abstract This article introduces various aspects of a diploma thesis on the theme ‘tin pest in organ pipes’ submitted to Fachhochschule Cologne. One aspect concerns difference between corrosion and tin pipes, another explains polymorphous property tin. is followed by report research documentation 12 suspected cases pest. A case an alloy lead Estonian receives particular attention, not least because hitherto it has often been assumed that could only occur pure Finally, necessary conditions...
Savings in man-hours of approximately 50% were gained with even greater reduction elapsed time when fluorescent x-ray emission replaced classical wet methods to determine Sb (2%–7%), Sn (0.15%–0.75%) and As (0.05%–0.60%). No statistically significant differences found results, scatter was less the method. The problem segregation sample eliminated, a surface required quality obtained by special method preparation which 5–20 ml molten lead poured into 1 liter water, resulting granules pressed...
Copolymers alternating the BAI with thiophene-based moieties showed absorption and fluorescence in NIR were found to prevent ACQ.
