We propose and constrain with the latest observational data, three model-independent parametrizations of cosmic deceleration parameter $q(z)$. They are well behaved stay finite at all redshifts. construct them by fixing value $q$ high redshift, $q(z\ensuremath{\gg}1)=1/2$ (as demanded structure formation), far future $q(z=\ensuremath{-}1)=\ensuremath{-}1$, smoothly interpolating $q(z)$ between them. The fixed point $z=\ensuremath{-}1$ is not arbitrarily chosen; it readily follows from second...

This article examines the influence of economic crisis on voting preferences for emerging Spanish parties (Podemos and Ciudadanos). We develop a multinomial model that tests their antecedents, we find three results may be relevant literature emergence parties. First, negative evaluation country’s situation has major impact votes two Second, perception corruption also plays crucial role in understanding support And third, both interact to account Podemos Ciudadanos. conclude new an basis, but...

We constrain an interacting, holographic dark energy model, first proposed by two of us in [1], with observational data from supernovae, CMB shift, baryon acoustic oscillations, x-rays, and the Hubble rate. The growth function for this model is also studied. fits reasonably well but still conventional ΛCDM fares better. Nevertheless, greatly alleviates coincidence problem shows compatibility at 1σ confidence level age old quasar APM 08279+5255.

We study a holographic cosmological model in which the infrared cutoff is set by Ricci length and dark matter energy do not evolve on their own but interact nongravitationally with each other. This greatly alleviates cosmic coincidence problem because ratio between both components does vanish at any time. constrain observational data from supernovae, background radiation, baryon acoustic oscillations, gas mass fraction galaxy clusters, history of Hubble function, growth function.

We consider holographic cosmological models of dark energy in which the infrared cutoff is set by Hubble's radius. show that any interacting model with a matterlike term able to alleviate coincidence problem (i.e., positive interaction term, regardless its detailed form) can be recast as noninteracting parameter ${c}^{2}$ evolves slowly time. Two specific cases are analyzed. First, presented Duran, Pav\'on, and Zimdahl [J. Cosmol. Astropart. Phys. 07 (2010) 018.] considered, corresponding...

The television channel TV3 has played a controversial role in the Catalan politics since its creation early eighties for alleged partisan bias and support secessionist movement. This substantially alleviates cosmic coincidence problem as ratio between both components remains finite throughout expansion. constrain observational data from supernovae, background radiation, baryon acoustic oscillations, gas mass fraction galaxy clusters, history of Hubble function, growth...

According to the Harrison-Zel'dovich prescription, amplitude of matter density perturbations at horizon crossing is same all scales. Based on this we show how construct power spectrum generic dark energy models from a ΛCDM model without need solving in full dynamical equations describing evolution perturbations. Our approach allows make predictions observables that can be expressed terms alone, such as fluctuations, peculiar velocities, cosmic microwave background temperature anisotropies...

Objective This article examines to what extent the image that individuals have about past authoritarian regimes affects citizens’ support for contemporary democracies. Methods Drawing on 2010 Latinobarómetro survey, we test whether “deviation in evaluations” (i.e., difference between individuals’ evaluation of present country economic situation and last regime) affect democracy Latin America. Results We found as assessment government outperforms economy, are less likely democracy, this...

Initial conditions for the evolution of energy density perturbations are generally specified at some initial time very early during radiation dominated regime. If, instead, amplitude is horizon crossing like in Harrison-Zeldovich prescription, equations have to be solved subsequent subhorizon evolution. Using this ansatz we show how construct observables such as matter power spectrum generic dark models from a ΛCDM model without need solving full dynamical describing all perturbations. This...
