To determine the expression of endogenous adhesion/growth-regulatory lectins and their binding sites using labeled tissue as well profile hyaluronic acid an approach to define new prognostic markers.Sections paraffin-embedded histological material 481 lungs from lung tumor patients following radical excision processed by a routine immunohistochemical method (avidin-biotin labeling, DAB chromogen). Specific antibodies against galectins-1 -3 heparin-binding lectin were tested. Staining...

This article aims to study the class of strongly self-dual polytopes (ssd-polytopes for short), defined in a paper by Lov\'asz \cite{lovasz}. He described series such (called $L$-type polytopes), which he used solve combinatorial problem. From geometrical point view, there are interesting questions: what additional elements this exist, and any with different structure from ones? We show that dimension three, one their faces defines polyhedra. Illustrating algorithm proof, we present an...

Abstract A central problem of geometry is the tiling space with simple structures. The classical solutions, such as triangles, squares, and hexagons in plane cubes other polyhedra three-dimensional are built sharp corners flat faces. However, many tilings Nature characterized by shapes curved edges, nonflat faces, few, if any, corners. An important question then to relate prototypical softer natural shapes. Here, we solve this introducing a new class shapes, soft cells, minimizing number...

To free images rib and clavicle shadows, they are first segmented using a dynamic programming approach. eliminated in difference space. cleaned processed by hybrid detector based on gradient convergence, contrast intensity statistics. Abstract The “old-new” concept of a convex-hull function was investigated by several authors in the last seventy years. A recent research on it led to some other volume functions as covariogram function, widthness or so-called brightness functions, respectively. very interesting fact that there are many long-standing open problems connected with these whose serious investigation closed before “age computers”. In this survey, we concentrate only three-dimensional case; will mention most...

Lung cancer has the highest mortality rate among all types, and it especially high occurrence in Hungary. Low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) been proved to be a beneficial screening method for lung cancer, decreasing by 20 %. Because of intensifying fears from X-ray radiation, there is need develop other modalities that might work with less radiation have similar sensitivity nodule finding. Abstract In hyperbolic geometry there are several concepts to measure the breadth or width of a convex set. first part paper we collect them and compare their properties. Than introduce new concept thickness body. Correspondingly, define three classes bodies, bodies constant with, diameter having shadow property, respectively. We prove that property follows fulfilment both stronger as width. last this paper, body variant Blaschke’s theorem on larger circle inscribed plane-convex given diameter.
