p-type BiSbTe/x wt % ZnAlO (x=0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, and 1.0) composites were prepared by zone melting method. A peak thermoelectric figure of merit (ZT) 1.33 at 370 K was achieved for the sample with x=0.75, about 34% higher than that BiSbTe same temperature, making these more attractive commercial applications. This enhancement ZT can be mainly ascribed to a remarkable increase electrical conductivity simultaneous decrease lattice thermal introduction nanopowder.

InSb-based semiconductors have not been regarded as a promising thermoelectric candidates before due to their high thermal conductivity. In this paper, Ga substitution and nanoinclusions poor in were introduced serve phonon scattering centres. The nanoinclusions, possessing heterogeneous isomorphic crystal structure with the matrix, contribute weakly influenced electrical transport greatly depressed lattice conductivity (κL). For sample In0.9Ga0.1Sb, κL is decreased by 53% ZT value increased...

In4Se3 has recently been found to be a layered compound which shows promising thermoelectric (TE) properties. In the present study, textured In4Se3-based material grown by zone melting technique is composite with elemental indium embedded in matrix. The TE properties of this are evaluated and maximum figure merit ZT 0.9 achieved direction perpendicular growth direction. Such result should provide useful guidance for composition control towards further enhancement material.

Abstract Realistic ocean subsurface simulations of thermal structure and variation are critically important to success in climate prediction projection; currently, substantial systematic biases still exist the state-of-the-art models. In this paper, tropical Atlantic Ocean (TA) investigated by analyzing from Model Intercomparison Project (OMIP) conducting ocean-only experiments that based on Parallel Program, version 2 (POP2). The prominent almost all OMIP simulations, characterized two...

Since the atmosphere has a strong scattering effect on ultraviolet light, transmission of non-line-of-sight (NLOS) signals can be realized in atmosphere. In previous articles, (UV) light atmospheric been characterized by many models based spot sources with uniformly distributed intensity. order to explore role transmission, this work proposed UV transport model under different types source, including light-emitting diode (LED), laser, and ordinary sources, Monte Carlo point probability...

Abstract Thermohaline structure and time evolution in the subsurface ocean play a critical role climate variability predictability. They are still poorly represented models. Here, characteristics of thermohaline biases southern tropical Pacific their causes investigated through CMIP-based analyses model-based experiments. There exists pronounced cold bias at 200-m depth over CMIP6 simulations with an ensemble mean about −4°C extreme close to −10°C. This is accompanied by fresh −0.9 psu (−1.9...

Abstract Heavy precipitation events can exert greater impact than general on the economy, ecology, and people’s livelihoods. Based CN05.1 daily data NCEP/NCAR global reanalysis dataset, this study analyzes characteristics of clustered heavy (CHP) during summer in Northeast China (NEC) 1961–2020, with consideration associated atmospheric circulations moisture transport. Results indicate that CHP occurred mainly midsummer, especially July. Both frequency intensity decrease after mid-1970s,...

At present, tight oil and gas reservoirs exploitation mainly adopts water (H2O)-based fracturing technology, which not only consumes huge amounts of water, but also restricts the process industrial in water-scarce areas. In addition, clay will expand contact with resulting poor reservoir stimulation effect low recovery factor. order to avoid problems caused by hydraulic fracturing, carbon dioxide is used replace so as achieve purpose stimulation. While transforming reservoir, CO2 technology...

This paper documents the westward extension of summer atmospheric circulation over North Pacific (NP circulation) around 1990s and investigates possible reason, based on index. The NP was centered in Northeast during 1961–1983 central 1994–2016. Further results show that movement closely linked with an intensification relationship between previous spring sea surface temperature midlatitude (SST_NP) after 1990s.
