A high-quality graphene transparent conductive film was fabricated by roll-to-roll chemical vapor deposition (CVD) synthesis on a suspended copper foil and subsequent transfer. While the high temperature required for CVD of has prevented efficient production thus far, we used selective Joule heating to achieve this. Low pressure thermal direct transfer process using photocurable epoxy resin allowed us fabricate 100-m-long with sheet resistance as low 150 Ω/sq, which is comparable that...
We demonstrate the time reversal Aharonov-Casher (AC) effect in small arrays of mesoscopic semiconductor rings. By using an electrostatic gate we can control spin precession rate and follow AC phase over several interference periods. show that two different voltage ranges; lower range dependence is strong linear higher almost order magnitude weaker. also see second harmonic interference, oscillating with half period. finally map to spin-orbit interaction parameter $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ find...

Reduced graphene oxide thin-film transistors exhibit unique channel-length-dependent field-effect mobilities and carrier concentrations due to their structural electronic properties. Increase in these characteristics with decreasing channel length is a consequence of the hopping transport from nanosheet pinning Fermi energy at source drain electrodes.
Recently, there has been a high demand for elucidating kinetics and visualizing reaction processes under extreme dynamic conditions, such as chemical reactions meteorite impact structural changes nonequilibrium in situ observations of changes. To accelerate material science studies Earth fields submillisecond X-ray diffraction measurement system developed using diamond anvil cell to observe rapidly changing pressure temperature conditions replicating conditions. The development measurements...
Flat surfaces of MgO and KCl crystals teflon sheet were coated with gold evaporated films except for the parallel strip areas approximately 200, 100 50 µm wide, without coating observed by SEM at 15 kV. The images uncoated distorted surface potential caused charging. was quantitatively measured distortion as a function scanning time width areas. results analysed numerically. Furthermore, it found that charging effect reduced tilting angle θ specimen respect to incident beam. Critical θc...
We study the Kondo effect in a semiconductor quantum dot contact with spin-accumulated lead. The spin accmulation nonmagnetic is realized by injection from spin-polarized point combination magnetic focusing, thus creating spin-unbalanced chemical potentials. demonstrate that splitting of densities states (DOS) for spin-up and spin-down electrons can be controlled selectively shifting only DOS using accumulation. also show possibility to recover high field, compensating Zeeman

Abstract The present work investigates the long-term effects of continuous low dose-rate (20 mGy/day to total doses 1–8 Gy) gamma-ray exposure on hematopoietic cells specific pathogen-free C3H/HeN mice. Peripheral white blood cell (WBC) counts decreased days 206, 471, and 486, with no significant changes in red (RBC) platelet (PLT) counts. number colony forming units (CFU-S CFU-GM) bone marrow spleen from irradiated mice increasing dose day-12 day-7. decrease CFU-S persisted throughout...
In order to clarify the possibility of NO3− being one concomitants for acid rain, we have measured pH, electric conductivity (EC) and cationic anionic ion levels in rain water collected from three different locations Kobe, Japan: The distances highway (Hanshin Highway) are 50 m at A point, 1,500 B point 2,900 C respectively. Significant correlations were observed between respective Ni2+ obtained points. Since these ions usually included motor vehicle exhausts, results suggest that acidity is...
Arylideneamines (1) added to the acyl isocyanato moiety of methacryloyl isocyanate (MAI) produce corresponding [4 + 21 cycloadducts, 2H-1.3.5-oxadiazin-4(3tY-ones(2).It has been clarified that even at low temperature cycloadducts (2) partially dissociate two original substrates, MA1 and 1 , in solution on basis VT-nmr spectroscopy.Methacryloyl is a versatile polyfunctional reagent bearing an enone as well highly reactive group.Recently, it found enamines not only moiety, but also MAI: At...

We measure the transmission phase of a quantum point contact (QPC) at low carrier density in which electron interaction is expected to play an important role and anomalous behaviors are observed. In first conductance plateau, shifts monotonically as decreased by gate voltage. When starts decrease, what often called 0.7 regime, exhibits increase compared with noninteracting model. The observation implies wave vector decreased, suggesting transition spin-incoherent Luttinger liquid.
