Abstract Purpose To explore factors influencing the prognosis in patients with borderline‐resectable hepatocellular carcinoma (BR‐HCC) undergoing surgery. Methods The clinical data of BR‐HCC according to definition Expert Consensus Statement 2023 were collected from board‐certified HPB training centers and analyzed detail. Results Data a total 1509 (BR1, n = 718 BR2, 791) who underwent surgery collected. 5‐year disease‐specific survival rate (DSS) 3‐year recurrence‐free (RFS) determined as...

Abstract Background The aim of this study was to determine the optimal treatment for patients with pancreatic cancer (PaCa) having positive peritoneal cytology (PPC). Methods This multicenter retrospective included PPC treated at 78 high‐volume centers between January 2012 and December 2020. Prognoses after resection (S‐group) initiation nonsurgical (N‐group) were compared. Prognostic factors survival in both groups analyzed. Detailed characteristics conversion surgery (CS) N‐group...

We performed echo planar imaging (EPI) and turbo spin (TSE) diffusion-weighted (DWI) using magnetic resonance to obtain basic clinical data of the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) in 26 parts normal brains compared datasets our retrospective distortion correction technique. The ADC was significantly higher measured by EPI-DWI than TSE-DWI. signal-to-noise ratio that Care must be taken when measuring ADCs near base skull, such as brain stem, where SNR technique is likely decrease or distort.

Masato Nagino Hepatic artery resectionHepatic resection and reconstruction for advanced perihilar cholangiocarcinoma is even more demanding than portal vein resection. In 2010, we reported our experiences with major hepatectomies simultaneous resections reconstructions of the hepatic (n = 50) showed that this challenging surgery can be performed an acceptable mortality rate 2 % offers a better chance long-term survival, 5-year survival 30 %.Thereafter, number patients who underwent combined...
