Autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) are neurodevelopmental conditions characterized by social and behavioural impairments. In addition to neurological symptoms, ASD subjects frequently suffer from gastrointestinal abnormalities, thus implying a role of the gut microbiota in pathophysiology. Here, we bacterial fungal cohort autistic individuals demonstrating presence an altered microbial community structure. A fraction 90% were classified as severe ASDs. We found significant increase...

Lyman Break Galaxy (LBG) candidates at z>10 are rapidly being identified in JWST/NIRCam observations. Due to the (redshifted) break produced by neutral hydrogen absorption of rest-frame UV photons, these sources expected drop out bluer filters while well detected redder filters. However, here we show that dust-enshrouded star-forming galaxies lower redshifts (z<7) may also mimic near-infrared (near-IR) colors LBGs, representing potential contaminants LBG candidate samples. The escape fraction of Lyman-continuum (LyC) photons ($f_{esc}$) is a key parameter for determining the sources cosmic reionization at $z\geq 6$. At these redshifts, owing to opacity intergalactic medium, LyC emission cannot be measured directly. However, leakers during epoch could identified using indirect indicators that have been extensively tested low and intermediate redshifts. These include high [OIII]/[OII] flux ratio, star-formation surface density, compact sizes. In this work, we...

The Epoch of Reionization (EoR) began when galaxies grew in abundance and luminosity, so their escaping Lyman continuum (LyC) radiation started ionizing the surrounding neutral intergalactic medium (IGM). Despite significant recent progress, nature role cosmic reionizers are still unclear: order to define them, it would be necessary directly measure LyC escape fraction ( f esc ). However, this is impossible during EoR due opacity IGM. Consequently, many efforts at low intermediate redshift...
