放射性物質に汚染された廃棄物の熱処理では,含有されるセシウム (Cs) が飛灰へ移行するため,飛灰中 Cs の不溶化が必要である。本研究では,カオリン試薬の熱的変化やアルカリ溶液への Al, Si の溶解特性を調査した。さらに,焼成したカオリン試薬を用い,模擬飛灰中 のジオポリマーによる不溶化処理を行なった。その結果,メタカオリンは焼成パイロフィライトと比較して,アルカリ溶液に溶解しやすく,作製した固化体の 溶出率は低くなった。Si/Al のような材料構成比では,アルミノケイ酸塩の種類や NaOH 濃度による 不溶化への影響の評価は困難であったが,Sidissolved/Aldissolved を用いることで,Cs 不溶化に直接寄与する のバランスの変化が明確になった。本研究より,アルミノケイ酸塩のアルカリ溶液への溶解特性は,ジオポリマーによるCs不溶化性能を制御する重要な指標となることが示唆された。
