(1) Background: Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a safe intervention, only producing mild and transient adverse effects (AEs). However, there no detailed analysis of the pattern in an application transferable to clinic. Therefore, our objective describe AEs produced by tDCS its temporal evolution. (2) Methods: A total 33 young volunteers were randomized into or sham group. Participants performed hand dexterity task while receiving intervention (20 min 1 mA), for five...

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) of the motor cortex (M1) produces short-term inhibition pain. Unihemispheric concurrent dual-site tDCS (UHCDS-tDCS) over M1 and dorsolateral prefrontal (DLPFC) has greater effects on cortical excitability than when applied alone, although its effect pain is unknown. The aim this study was to test if anodal UHCDS-tDCS DLPFC in healthy participants could potentiate conditioned modulation (CPM) diminish temporal summation (TS).

Abstract Background Controversy exists with the presence of alterations in descending pain inhibition mechanisms patients non‐specific neck (NSNP). The aim present study was to evaluate status conditioned modulation CPM, remote pressure thresholds (PPT), and psychological factors a specific subgroup NSNP such as young adult students. In addition, possible associations between factors, characteristics were analyzed. Methods Thirty students recurrent or chronic 30 pain‐free included this...

Introduction: The COVID-19 lockdown has been associated with reduced levels of physical activity, quality life, and sleep quality, but limited evidence exists for its impact on heart failure patients. This study examined the influence these aspects in patients, specific comparisons by age sex. Methods: A quasi-experimental cross-sectional patients was conducted. assessment involved two time points: during (March to June 2020) post-lockdown (July October 2020). total 107 HF participated,...

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) has been investigated as a way of improving motor learning. Our purpose was to explore the reversal bilateral tDCS effects on manual dexterity training, during five days, with retention component measured after 5 days determine whether somatosensory were produced. In this randomized, triple-blind clinical trial, 28 healthy subjects (14 women) recruited and randomized into placebo groups, although only 23 participants (13 finished complete...
