Medicinal plant extracts are increasingly considered a major source of innovative medications and healthcare products. This study focused on preparing polyphenol enriched water extract Egyptian celery "Apium graveolens L., Apiaceae" aerial parts (TAE) in an endeavor to accentuate its antioxidant capacity as well antimicrobial activity. was partitioned against different organic solvents yield dichloromethane (DCM), ethyl acetate (EAC), butanol (BUOH) fractions. the fractions thereof besides...

Introduction Skin injuries represent a prevalent form of physical trauma, necessitating effective therapeutic strategies to expedite the wound healing process. Hesperidin, bioflavonoid naturally occurring in citrus fruits, exhibits range pharmacological attributes, including antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, and analgesic properties. The main objective study was formulate hydrogel with intention addressing skin conditions, particularly healing. Methods This...

The Cucurbitaceae family includes several edible species that are consumed globally as fruits and vegetables. These produce high volumes of seeds often discarded waste. In this study, we investigate the chemical composition biological activity three seed oils from plants, namely, cantaloupe, honeydew, zucchini, in comparison to widely used pumpkin oil for their ability enhance accelerate wound healing rats. Our results showed honeydew (HSO) was effective accelerating closure enhancing tissue...

Pregnant women usually turn to natural products relieve pregnancy-related ailments which might pose health risks. Mentha pulegium L. (MP, Lamiaceae) is a common insect repellent, and the present work validates its abortifacient capacity, targeting morphological anomalies, biological, behavioral consequences, compared misoprostol. The study also includes untargeted metabolite profiling of MP extract fractions thereof viz. methylene chloride (MecH), ethyl acetate (EtOAc), butanol (But),...

In the present work, antioxidant activity, total phenolics (TP), and flavonoids (TF) contents of aqueous methanol extracts celery were determined, in addition to untargeted metabolites profiling its root extract (MCRE) via UPLC-MS. Although MCRE exhibited lowest TPC TFC levels, it presented most potential hydroxyl radical quenching effect using electron paramagnetic resonance spin trapping technique. Treatment Acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity (AAH) rats with lowered serum levels AST,...

Introduction: Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy is a unique technique able to identify and quantify free radicals in the complex biological matrices. In this study, radical scavenging activity of aqueous methanol extracts fruits, shoots roots dill parsley was examined using EPR technique, addition determination their contents total polyphenols (TPC) flavonoids (TFC). Method: The hydroxyl anion (HASA) tested determined spin trapping hypoxanthine/xanthine oxidase system...

Hydroxyl radical (•OH) scavenging capacity of aqueous dill (Anethum graveolens L.) shoot (ADSh) extract was assessed using electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. ADSh (at concentrations 0.5 and 10 mg/ml) exerted high (OH) power. further fractionated on Diaion HP-20 column to yield five fractions. EPR spin-trapping assay revealed fraction 4 (eluted with 75% aq. MeOH) possess over a concentration range (0.01–10 mg/ml), whereas 2 25% appeared be pro-oxidant at 0.01 mg/ml....
