We introduce a broadband THz absorber with an array of graphene-dielectric multilayered frustum pyramids on metal sheet. The structure can be considered effectively homogeneous metamaterial hyperbolic dispersion and anisotropic permittivity. Surface plasmonic waves are excited graphene layers the incident different frequencies absorbed at levels stacked pyramid, due to squeezing effect slow tapered waveguide. An absorption dip is observed explained physically, finally removed by adding...

Earlywood and latewood form during different parts of the growing season therefore capture climate distinct time intervals. Here we present a comparison earlywood δ18O in tree rings from Yulong Snowy Mountains southwestern China, covering period 1902 to 2005. exhibit long-term behaviour obviously past century. Climate–response analysis indicates that dominant parameters for are temperature relative humidity early part monsoon (May July); however, latewood, it is moisture condition...

[1] We established the first annual resolution tree ring δ18O chronology of Qilian juniper (Sabina przewalskii Kom.) for eastern margin Qaidam Basin, northwestern China. The mean cellulose in study region (33.46‰ ± 0.99‰) was higher than that (28.7‰) and Helan Mountains (27.66‰), northwest China, values other published research (15.0‰ to 33.0‰), possibly as a result heavier precipitation lower relative humidity (43%) during growing season. results our simple correlation, bootstrap response...

A holistic vision-based hazard detection framework for asteroid landing is introduced in this paper. The proposed conjecture takes advantage of the Hough Transform method and decision forests, shares simplicity wide applicability transform but bypasses problem obstacle multi-size permits multiple objects. conducive to avoidance, satisfying safe bound lander exploration task, adaptive environment, autonomous without additive complex filtering. results show that provides localization...

Owing to the limitations of apparatus, influence its principal stress direction on anisotropic behavior and non-coaxiality frozen soil has not been fully considered in previous studies. At a temperature -10°C, series hollow cylinder tests for standard sand (FSS) was conducted under different directional angles major mean stresses this study. The experimental results indicate that stress-strain-strength anisotropy FSS are highly dependent direction. components vary linearly with increasing...

Based on mobile strong motion array observation, borehole exploration and site seismic response analysis, the effects of mountainous topography in southeastern Gansu loess tableland ground were investigated details. The analysis acceleration records aftershocks showed that peak at top mountain is nearly 2 times foot it. sites shows may amplify PGA by 1.44-2.0 times. Therefore, mountains should been taken account into design.
