We report evidence from broadband dielectric spectroscopy that the dynamics of primary alpha- and secondary Johari-Goldstein (JG) beta-processes are strongly correlated in different glass-forming systems over a wide temperature T pressure P range, contrast with widespread opinion statistical independence these processes. The alpha-beta mutual dependence is quantitatively confirmed by (a) overall superposition spectra measured at T-P combinations but an invariant alpha-relaxation time; (b)...
Abstract The viscosity of AOT/water/decane water-in-oil microemulsions exhibits a well-known maximum as function water/AOT molar ratio, which is usually attributed to increased attractions among nearly spherical droplets. can be removed by adding salt or changing the oil CCl 4 . Systematic small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) measurements have been used monitor structure microemulsion droplets in composition regime where appears. On increasing droplet concentration, intensity found scale with...
Abstract We studied a mixture of C 12 E 5 microemulsion with an end-capped hydrophobically modified polymer (C –PEO–C ). The adsorbed on the core microemulsion, changed bending properties interface and connected two nearby droplets. size width structure factor decreased upon adding polymer. For all concentrations, relaxational modes corresponding to different diffusion coefficients were observed. fast slow showed repulsive attractive interaction, respectively. results both small-angle x-ray...
