The pore structure of coal affects spontaneous combustion to a certain extent. the body will be altered after prolonged waterlogging and is highly susceptible in presence elevated ground temperatures. To study changes immersion drying. samples from Jinjitan mine Yulin, Shaanxi Province, Tangkou Jining, Shandong Gaojiapu Province were scanned by electron microscopy low-temperature nitrogen adsorption experiments. This indicates that water immersion, fracture pores are developed, morphology...

A novel biscoumarin-derived turn-on fluorescent probe for hydrazine detection has been developed and its structure verified by X-ray crystallography. The shows excellent specificity sensing mechanism was confirmed NMR, MS DFT calculations. Furthermore, the demonstrated practical utility in quantitatively detecting water samples imaging living cells.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to understand the natural wind field characteristics tunnel entrance section and analyzing aerodynamic performance high-speed railway trains (HSRTs) under winds. Design/methodology/approach Three typical sites, namely, tunnel–bridge in a dry canyon (TBDC), river (TBRC) tunnel–flat ground (TF), are selected conduct continuous measurement. Based on measured characteristics, winds TBDC TF sites reconstituted imported into two corresponding full-scale...

Spontaneous combustion of waterlogged coal accounts for many mine fire accidents. The soaking process affects the chemical properties coal, causing it to be highly susceptible spontaneous combustion. Changes in functional groups water-rich coals after flooding and drying are discussed, structural parameters were characterized by infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). results show that highest aliphatic hydrocarbons, oxygenated groups, aromatic hydrocarbons reached when air-dried 30 days. substitution...

The ship traveling in restricted waterways often experiences larger hydrodynamic forces and moments, together with sinkage, trim heel, compared that open water. performance of an oil tanker moving obliquely a shallow narrow channel is investigated by using RANS (Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes) method this work. effects ship-bank distance, water depth, etc. on are analysed. When the gets closer to bank or inclination becomes steeper, blockage due become more considerable. drift motion will...

The advantage of Monte Carlo simulations is attributed to the flexibility their implementation. In spite prevalence in finance, we address efficiency and accuracy option pricing from perspective variance reduction price convergence. We demonstrate that increasing number paths will increase computational efficiency. Moreover, using a t-test, examine significance convergence, measured as difference between sample means prices. Overall, our illustrative results show simulation prices are not...

Continuous rigid-frame bridges across valleys are often at risk of rockfalls caused by heavy rainfalls, earthquakes, and debris flow in a mountainous environment. Hollow thin-walled bridge piers (HTWBP) exposed to the threat impact from accidental rockfalls. In current research, ANSYS/LS-DYNA is used establish high-precision rockfall-HTWBP model. The model verified against scaled test performed previously published research. A mesh independence also obtain an appropriate size. Based on...

High-speed trains (HSTs) transiting subgrade-cutting transition sections in crosswinds have become a common operating scenario. This paper utilizes the Improved Delayed Detached Eddy Simulation (IDDES) turbulence model, considers air compressibility, and establishes three-dimensional coupled train-subgrade-wind dynamics model. The aerodynamic load (AL) variation rules of discrepancies flow field mechanisms when HSTs transit various types [half cutting half flat (HCHF), double side (DC),...

President Bush’s 2003 tax cut has revived the topic of dividend policy. Dividend payout depends on many factors, such as earnings, size, and growth in addition to rate. To study effect a change rates dividends, we need control for other factors that may affect them. Following Fama French (2001) approach, divide our sample firms into three different categories characterized by profitability, investment opportunity, size; estimate averaged forecast errors four groups each category. We find...
