Producing propene by the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane (ODH) has become an attractive and feasible route for bridging production-demand gap, either as a complementary existing oil-based processes or new alternative from separated natural gas. The industrial application ODH not succeeded so far due to low yields. Therefore, been extensively investigated in recent decades using different catalysts reaction conditions. Although several important aspects have discussed previous reviews...

Metastable, i.e., kinetically favored but thermodynamically not stable, interstitial solid solutions of carbon in iron are well-understood. Carbon can occupy the atoms host metal, altering its properties. Alloying metal results stabilization FeCx phases, widening application. Pure nickel finds niche applications, mainly focusing on catalysis, while alloys widely applied, e.g., gas turbines, reactors, and seawater piping. Nickel carbide (Ni3C) is well-known stable Ni-C system displaying a...

The influence of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) in the synthesis SBA-15 was investigated. It found that, by addition PVA, surface area and porosity is increased, while structure size mesopores remain unchanged. Nitrogen sorption measurements indicate that PVA introduces additional pores with pore sizes around 2 nm into wall. Thus, a simple way improving mesoporous silica presented could enhance transport substrates through porous system, important for catalytic applications also beneficial...
