In recent years, there has been a frequent occurrence of extremely cold conditions which had serious impact on the life residents buildings in various locations around world. However, have only very limited number studies effects residential area building layout winter wind environments, led to lack quantitative guidance for planning severely regions. This study aims reveal relationship between (1) areas’ density, floor ratio, projection angle, average height, and relative position high-rise...

Potassium (K) plays a crucial role in multiple physiological and developmental processes plants. Its deficiency is common abiotic stress that inhibits plant growth reduces crop productivity. A better understanding of the mechanisms involved responses to low K could help improve efficiency use However, such remain poorly characterized fruit tree species as pears (Pyrus sp). We analyzed transcriptome commonly used pear rootstock, Pyrus betulaefolia, K-deficiency (0 mM). deprivation resulted...

In the context of global climate change and accelerated urbanization, deterioration urban living environment has had a serious negative impact on life residents. However, studies effects forms configurations outdoor spaces in residential areas thermal based particularity severe cold regions are very limited. Through field measurements at pedestrian level space three seasons (summer, transition season winter) Harbin, China, this study explored typical (the linear block, enclosed square)...

The environmental quality and subjective evaluations in urban open spaces are essential. In this study, the effects of building, green, water landscapes, which typical visual on (including thermal sensation comfort, overall comfort) different seasons were analyzed by conducting questionnaire surveys field measurements a severely cold city. It was found that landscapes significantly affected winter summer, but there no transitional season. compared with building green landscape, vote...

The long winter time and the harsh outdoor environment cause many inconveniences of activities to urban residents in severe cold areas. Therefore, it is urgent study improve thermal residential streets. This paper focuses on streets open communities northern China, by carrying out field measurements according characteristics climate results show that aspect ratios can directly affect their environment. With ratio increases, air temperature decreases wind speed increases. At same time, facade...

The residential areas, as a city's basic unit, have the closest connection with people's living environment; outdoor thermal sensation of areas directly affects physical and mental health. This study aims to reveal relationship between high-rise areas' building density wind projection angle, winter pedestrian in severe cold regions. In this study, prediction model pedestrian-level chill temperature is established by using existed mean velocity ratio standard values air from urban...

As residential environment science advances, the environmental quality of outdoor microclimates has aroused increasing attention scholars majoring in urban climate and built environments. Taking microclimate a traditional area severe cold city as study object, this explored influence spatial geometry factors on streets courtyards by field measurements, then compared differences distinct public spaces. The results are follows. (1) temperature NE-SW (Northeast-Southwest) oriented street was...

The streets in the traditional residential areas of severe cold cities China often have openings leading to enclosed courtyards. These connect street courtyard space, which affects physical environment streets. This paper uses field measurements and numerical simulation study wind–sound street, comparing analysing effects existence, size form on street. results indicate that both average wind velocity sound pressure level some degree reduction around opening, with difference reaching 1.0 m/s...

In this paper, a fast Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar(ISAR) imaging technology for large size targets using the shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) method based on tetrahedral mesh is proposed. The new SBR images bistatic scattering field at small angle, which makes computation time decreased. Also, proposed meshed of not only PEC target but also metal-medium hybrid target, even with plasma outside, accessible.
