Aim: Powdery mildew, incited by Erysiphe polygoni D.C, is a prominent foliar disease of blackgram (Vigna mungo L.) that adversely impacts all developmental stages, culminating in premature defoliation and yield losses reaching up to 70%. The initiates as subtle, white powdery flecks on the abaxial surface lower leaves subsequently proliferating into dense mycelial colonies envelop aerial plant parts, persisting until physiological maturity. Despite its economic significance, epidemiology...

Abstract Randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) was used to examine the genetic variability among 10 isolates of Trichoderma representing three species and their ability antagonize Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceris causing chickpea wilt using dual culture assay volatile non‐volatile compound production. Using oligonucleotide primers, we are able distinguish . Primer OPA 13 efficiently differentiated all in except T 2 viride Some other primer as also showed species‐specific banding...

Ciguatoxin (CTX) is a visibly unidentifiable, colourless, odourless, heat stable and lipid soluble polyether marine biotoxin associated with human illness. Marine dinoflagellates under the genus Gambierdiscus are responsible for producingciguatoxins (CTX). The ciguatoxin gets accumulated in herbivorous fishes, biotransformed carnivorous fishes finally reach fish consumers. In January 2016, individuals who consumed red snapper Trivandrum, Kerala, India weresuspected to be intoxicated...

Correlation of characters contributing to alcohol yield in sorghum was studied using hybrids obtained from a partial diallel cross six sweet and one grain types. The interrelationship among the at genotypic level indicated that had significant positive correlation with total sugar, sucrose per cent, brix, juice yield, cane girth stem. Low reducing sugar content is also essential for high extraction. Selection sugars, brix will lead production.
