Treating pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains a major hurdle in the field of oncology. Less than half patients respond to frontline chemotherapy and tumor microenvironment limits efficacy immunotherapeutic approaches. Targeted therapies could serve as effective treatments enhance clinical response rate. One potential therapeutic target is survivin, protein that normally expressed during embryonic fetal development has critical impact on cell cycle control apoptosis. In adulthood,...
Introduction: Frailty is an important predictor of clinical outcomes, but its contribution to resource utilization remains understudied. This study investigates the impact frailty on high (HRU) in patients undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery (CABG). Methods: We reviewed data who underwent CABG at a single center between 04/2018 and 12/2019. A score (FS) was calculated using Essential Toolset (EFT). Patients were divided into two groups: Frail (FS ≥ 3/5) & Non-Frail <3/5)....
