Article Polysaccharides of Algae. 48. Polysaccharide Composition Several Calcareous Red Algae: Isolation Alginate from Corallina pilulifera P. et R. (Rhodophyta, Corallinaceae) was published on January 1, 1995 in the journal Botanica Marina (volume 38, issue 1-6).
Abstract Agarum is a perennial kelp genus that has broad distribution from the northwest Pacific to Atlantic Ocean. In order address questions regarding phylogenetic relationships and present‐day patterns of species within this genus, we analyzed nuclear ITS2, mitochondrial cox1 cox3, plastid RuBisCO spacer subset 130 samples plus Thalassiophyllum Costaria. All analyses individual markers ITS2 + cox3 dataset consistently produced clade included . The consisted two well‐resolved subclades:...
Article Polysaccharides of Algae. 45. Polysaccharide Composition Red Seaweeds from Kamchatka Coastal Waters (Northwestern Pacific) Studied by Reductive Hydrolysis Biomass was published on January 1, 1992 in the journal Botanica Marina (volume 35, issue 5).
:Benthic diatoms are the most common epiphytes on surfaces of marine organisms. Although some epiphytic cause multimillion-dollar economic losses in commercially cultivated red algal plantations every year, such as Pyropia (formerly Porphyra), little is known about endophytic or pathogenic diatoms. We found a gomphonemoid diatom species that lives and reproduces inside algae from two localities southeast Kamchatka. Both young old infected host were collected different years (2008 2012)...
A new genus, Pseudolessonia , is proposed for the kelp Lessonia laminarioides Postels et Ruprecht (Laminariales, Phaeophyceae), which occurs on northwest side of Sea Okhotsk, in Pacific Ocean. monotypic and differs from its short primary stipes corrugated, unilaterally arranged blades with entire margins. This species transferred basis morphology plastid gene sequence comparisons. We determined psa rbc L sequences 17 taxa putative relatives. Analyses individual combined data sets resulted...
Morphological, molecular and chromosomal studies were carried out on Tauya basicrassa, an endemic kelp species distributed the northern continental coast of Sea Okhotsk in Russia. The sporophytes T. basicrassa grow up to 3–6 m long, 1.8–2.2 wide, 6.5–7 kg wet weight. thallus has a blade with very thick narrow basal portion thinner much broader upper portion, which usually splits into 3 bullated lobes. A dwarf laminariacean alga, did not show any morphological similarity other order...
Eight unusual individuals of a laminariaceaen species were collected from the Sea Okhotsk in 1974 and described as new species, Laminaria multiplicata Petrov et Suchovejeva 1976.Since that time no information, including pictures numerical data, has been provided, although was cited floristic lists based on first record 1976.We investigated type 3 paratypes L. strongly believe they wrongfully identified abnormal plants gurjanovae A. Zinova. Therefore, needs to be closed.
We confirmed the monophyly of Agaraceae based on phylogenetic analyses six mitochondrial and chloroplast gene sequences from Agarum , Costaria Dictyoneurum Thalassiophyllum species, as well representative species other laminarialean families. However, genus was paraphyletic, comprising two independent clades, A. clathratum/A. turneri fimbriatum/A. oharaense . The latter clade genetically most closely related to spp., morphologically, shared a flattened stipe bearing fimbriae (potential...
The re-examination of morphological and anatomical characters Laminaria appressirhiza L. inclinatorhiza collected from different localities in the Sea Okhotsk was performed.Despite their commercial ecological importance to region they have not been comprehensively reviewed since first description 1970.Our results show that some original diagnostic key (e.g., shape holdfast, sporangial sori, dissection blade) are stable deviations type morphology when plants grow environments.In...
Abstract The monotypic kallymeniacean genus Ionia established as Iona cornu-cervi is endemic to the Sea of Okhotsk. We observed type material species deposited in Komarov Botanical Institute Russian Academy Sciences (LE, St. Petersburg, Russia) and compared it with fresh collections near locality. Analysis rbc L dataset revealed that I. was not distinct from other genera Kallymeniaceae but consistently nested within Callophyllis formed a sister relationship variegata . Here, we propose new...
In this paper, we describe the historical background of one Laminaria J.V. Lamouroux species from northern Pacific region. references, two different were recorded under same name, longipes Bory, due to errors in labeling authentic herbarium specimens, a very brief description, confusion protologues, and absence type specimens. One them, inhabiting Atlantic Ocean, has rhizoids, whereas second Ocean holdfast with rhizomes. The latter was described by Ruprecht (1850) as repens Ruprecht,...
Alaria is the second largest genus of Laminariales, which distributed far into northern Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Due to its high morphological plasticity, over 100 specific sub-specific names have been used in Alaria, this has tailored down present 17 species through revision molecular phylogenetic analysis. Endemic from Russian Far East not thoroughly revised since their original description, few them were confirmed using data until recently. We carried out studies on A. paradisea an...
We present results of revision based on our personal data and reports published from 1889 to 2020 the red algal species composition Commander Islands. The general list includes 150 species. Six are reported for first time, including Phymatolithon lamii, Neoabbottiella valentinae, Callophyllis beringensis, Kallymeniopsis verrucosa, Velatocarpus kurilensis, Mazzaella hemisphaerica. These illustrated by photographs samples collected us Bering Island in September 2020. Another 15 this area...
Three Chordaria species were reported from the Russian Far East, viz. C. chordaeformis, flagelliformis, and gracilis. flagelliformis gracilis are common widely distributed in Bering Sea Kamchatka, Kuril Islands, of Okhotsk, while chordaeformis was only Avacha Bay (southeast Kamchatka). We describe a new species, okhotskensis, Taujskaya (northern Russia). The external morphology okhotskensis is similar to having unbranched or sparsely branched thalli with branches borne at acute angles....
Costularia Ju.Petrov et I. Gussarova, published in 1970, is a preoccupied name by Clarke, 1898 for genus of monocotyledonous flowering plants the family Cyperaceae (Magnoliophyta) and thus illegitimate.Costulariella nom.nov. proposed as replacement. The distribution morphology this little-known species are discussed.
