Image transmission over Low-Power Wide Area Networks (LP-WAN) protocols has always been a difficult task since it necessitates high data rates and energy consumption. Long Range (LoRa) is one such protocol, which excellent for transferring long distances but generated severe doubts regarding the viability of image due to its low rate. This paper demonstrates application results an integrated LoRa Deep Learning-based computer vision system that can efficiently identify grape leaf diseases...

There are many existing clustering protocols that aim at making the sensor network stay functioning longer out of which Low-Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) and Threshold-based LEACH (T-LEACH) protocols. T-LEACH protocol takes advantage main deficiency, is about having high control overhead. In other words, proposes cluster heads do not have to turn over every round but rather batch rounds. Nodes will keep serving as long their energy higher than a threshold energy. This article...

Fleets of cooperative drones are a powerful tool in monitoring critical scenarios requiring early anomaly discovery and intervention. Due to limited energy availability application requirements, may visit target points consecutive trips, with recharging data offloading between. To capture timeliness intervention prioritize coverage, we propose the new notion Weighted Progressive Coverage, which is based on definition time dependent weights. progressive coverage generalizes classic notions as...

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are increasingly gaining popularity, especially with the advent of many artificial intelligence (AI) driven applications and expert systems. Such require specific relevant sensors’ data to be stored, processed, analyzed, input Obviously, nodes (SNs) have limited energy computation capabilities normally deployed remotely over an area interest (AoI). Therefore, proposing efficient protocols for sensing sending is paramount WSNs operation. Nodes’ clustering a...

Summary Multimedia communication over wired and wireless networks becomes a compulsory need for many recent applications. To effectively react to the tremendous demand of video streaming Internet, videos are usually compressed by utilizing spatial temporal redundancy. It is noteworthy mention that compressing may degrade their quality if it not investigated properly. In other words, as consequence exploiting redundancies, frame dependencies emanate, which make discarding frames, because...

In this paper, we propose a novel energy-aware and layering-based clustering routing algorithm (EA-CRA) for gathering data in WSNs. EA-CRA employs an innovative multilayered architecture. More specifically, divide the field into number of layers where width layer not only decreases towards base station, but also is composed certain clusters (sub layers). The proposed design shortens communication distance between nodes, amount overhead required setting up clusters. Performance our examined...
