Permian−Triassic eclogites exposed on the Tibetan Plateau have traditionally been attributed to Paleo-Tethys oceanic subduction. Here we report new data that indicate a continental-subduction origin of Pianshishan along Longmuco-Shuanghu suture in northern Tibet.
