We present the first measurements of viscosity superfluid ${}^{3}\mathrm{He}$ in magnetic fields up to $15\mathrm{T}$, at temperatures down $2\mathrm{mK}$ along melting curve, using an assumption for temperature dependence normal density. At higher than $4\mathrm{T}$, shows a minimum ${A}_{1}$ phase, and reaches local maximum ${A}_{2}$ transition which becomes global $14.6\mathrm{T}$. The sharp decrease just below can be understood within Ginzburg-Landau framework is consistent with both...
We have achieved high-spin polarizations in concentrated mixtures of 3He 4He using the rapid-melting method originally suggested by Castaing and Nozières for pure 3He. Polarizations well above equilibrium value (greater than 10%) were obtained at T ≈ 350 mK. The observed relaxation time T1 = 4000 s was same order as theoretical predictions bulk time, long enough to suggest that it should be possible study properties these strongly polarized mixtures.
In April 2020, several wildfires took place in and around the Chernobyl exclusion zone. These fires reintroduced radioactive particles deposited during 1986 disaster into atmosphere, causing concern about a possible radiation hazard. Several countries stations of International Monitoring System measured increased Cs137 levels. This study presents analyses made by RIVM SCK CEN/RMI 2020 wildfires. Furthermore, more in-depth research was performed after A statistical analysis detections is...
The polarization dependence of the viscosity spin-polarized liquid $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ has been determined in temperature range $75<T<300$ mK and $\ensuremath{\Delta}<0.35$. We find an increase viscosity, which can be described as $\ensuremath{\eta}\ensuremath{\propto}1+\ensuremath{\alpha}{\ensuremath{\Delta}}^{2}$ with $\ensuremath{\alpha}=4.0\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1.5$, at a pressure 27 bars. This is expected from ratio cross sections for $s$-wave $p$-wave scattering. It rather...
At ECN-NRG irradiations of materials have been performed with the aid High Flux Reactor at site for investigations their properties under different conditions as well nuclear isotope productions since 1967 e.g. molybdenum. The high radioactive waste (HRW) coming from these applications are stored start in an interim storage facility located site. Due to license HRW has be transported COVRA. Therefore a project set-up transport all However, COVRA accepts limited number HLW containers among...
Abstract In vitro experiments show that the cells possibly responsible for radiation-induced acute myeloid leukemia (rAML) exhibit low-dose hyper-radiosensitivity (HRS). these cells, HRS is excess cell killing at low doses. Besides endpoint of killing, has also been shown to stimulate formation chromosomal aberrations such as deletions. Although investigated extensively, little known about possible effect on cancer risk. CBA mice, rAML can largely be explained in terms a Sfpi1 deletion and...
