We will demonstrate a stress-optic phase modulator in the passive SiN-based TriPleX platform using layer of piezoelectric material. Regarding effect, deposited on top an optical waveguide is employed to control propagating light structure by applying electrical field across layer. In this work, it demonstrated that effect lowers power consumption factor one million for quasi-DC operation and increases modulation speed three orders magnitude, compared currently used thermo-optic platform.

Highly dense high entropy diboride (Ti0.2Zr0.2Hf0.2Nb0.2Ta0.2)B2-SiC composites with different β-SiC content (5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 vol.%) were synthesized using ball milling followed by Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) at 1900°C. High-purity (HEB) powder was boro/carbothermal reduction of oxide precursors 1800°C. X-ray diffraction patterns the powders sintered compacts HEB showed a single solid solution hexagonal AlB2 structure without any residual impurities. energy dispersive Spectroscopy...

Compact wavelength splitters based on angled multimode interferometers (AMMIs) silicon nitride platforms working in visible lights are reported for fluorescence sensing applications. A diplexer and triplexer with different footprints designed experimentally demonstrated. The have the insertion loss of ∼1.7 ∼2.7 dB/channel cross talks less than -22 dB -17 target wavelengths, respectively. These used to distinguish signals collected from two fluorescent dyes that give emission spectra when...

Abstract It has been difficult to compute the band structures of metallic photonic crystals for H‐polarization. The existence surface plasmon modes is major reason difficulty due localized nature these modes. In this study, by virtue efficiency newly developed Dirichlet‐to‐Neumann map method, we are able investigate details flat bands in a two dimensional square lattice with cylinders. We have obtained fine structure H polarization around region which not reported best our knowledge. Our...
