Abstract As one of the most important hosts natural light harvesting, foliage normally has complicated surface structures to capture solar radiances. Bio-mimicking leaf can provide novel designs covers in photovoltaic systems. In this article, we reported on replicating poly-(methyl methacrylate) polymers prompt harvesting efficiencies. Prepared via a double transfer process, were found have high optical transparencies and transmission hazes, with both values exceeding 80% some species....
Abstract A critical factor for electronics based on inorganic layered crystals stems from the electrical contact mode between semiconducting and metal counterparts in electric circuit. Here, a materials tailoring strategy via nanocomposite decoration is carried out to reach metallic MoS 2 matrix transition nanoparticles. Nickel nanoparticles (NiNPs) are successfully joined sides of crystal through gold nanobuffers, forming magnetic NiNPs@MoS complexes. The intrinsic property remains...
ZrB2–SiC/ZrSi2 ceramics containing 30 vol% carbon fiber (Cf) additive were fabricated by hot pressing at low temperature (1500 °C) using submicron ZrB2 powders, and their microstructural evolution performance investigated. The addition of SiC or ZrSi2 significantly reduced the onset sintering enhanced densification ZrB2. ZrB2–ZrSi2–Cf showed poor owing to serious degradation, while degradation was effectively inhibited in ZrB2–SiC–Cf resulting high fracture toughness, substantial pull-out,...
Abstract In this work, we present laser coloration on 304 stainless steel using nanosecond laser. Surface modifications are tuned by adjusting parameters of scanning speed, repetition rate, and pulse width. A comprehensive study the physical mechanism leading to appearance is presented. Microscopic patterns measured employed as input simulate light-matter interferences, while chemical states crystal structures composites figure out intrinsic colors. Quantitative analysis clarifies final...
Laser surface texturing (LST) and molybdenizing duplex-treatment was performed on Ni-base alloy in order to improve its wear resistance at high temperature. Surface the laser textured by a double glow plasma alloying technology. The friction properties of duplex-treated, single-treated, untreated alloys were tested ball-on-disk tribometer rubbing against an alumina ceramic ball from room temperature 600°C. topography dimples measured white light interferometer optical microscope. are 150-200...
Abstract The inorganic layered crystal (ILC) MoS 2 in low dimensions is considered as one of the most promising and efficient semiconductors. To enable magnetism keep intrinsic structures, we carried out a first-principles study magnetic semiconductive monolayer adsorbed with Mn n (n = 1–4) clusters bilayer intercalated same clusters. Geometric optimizations @MoS systems show complexes prefer to have (M) pizza (B) sandwich forms mono- bi-layered cases, respectively. Introductions will...
Transition metal dichalcogenides are widely studied for their photocatalytic ability due to the adjustable bandgap, high carrier mobility and possibility of foreign-element doping. In this work, multilayer molybdenum diselenide (MoSe2) was decorated with ultra-fine Pt nanoparticles through mild hydrothermal method. MoSe2-Pt nanocomposites were synthesized showed good structural chemical stabilities. The incorporation provides plenty active sites MoSe2. dominant particle sizes 1.8 nm, 1.9 nm...
