Abstract Background Male‐specifically inherited Y‐STRs have been widely used in population genetics and forensic investigations. Methods We genotyped analyzed Y chromosome haplotypes of 408 unrelated Tibeto‐Burman‐speaking Yi male individuals from Guizhou using Goldeneye ® Y‐PLUS kit.
